Take Heart, Chicago Fans
— Dave In Texas

I know, it's more NFL junk. But a bit of a noteworthy accomplishment for the Detriot Lions, who scored 34 points in the 4th quarter to beat the Bears.

Quite a comeback. Even the Bills coming back against the Oilers in '93 did more of their scoring in the 3rd quarter, not the 4th.

I don't know what's worse. Losing to the Lions. Or losing like this to the Lions.

It's special, I'll give you that.

A high octane offense like what the Lions have can explode anytime.

Or implode.  Whichever.

2 last year's chicago run was a fluke, so i'm not surprised.

3 Pats vs. Lions this year?

Wow.  You mean there's someone even more inept at late-game playcalling than Kevin Gilbride?  I'm shocked.

Not about the upset, about how Gilbride's still got a job.

5 Even my crappy Chargers have beaten the Bears. That's how bad they really are.

7 Even the Bills coming back against the Oilers in '93 did more of their scoring in the 3rd quarter, not the 4th.

Let us never speak of that again.

Except for: Beebe stepped out of bounds, and that was pass interference in overtime on the interception.

Now, let us never speak of that again.

8 I couldn't believe that game!

I figured they would kill the lions, so that was a big shot to my picks this weeks.

Now I have to root for tomorrows game just to get even!!

10 Pats vs. Lions this year?

Get real.

COLTS vs. Lions.

11 And to think that I wasted a fifth-round pick on Cedric Benson. What a stiff.

Detroit was only down 10pts in the game.

The record wasn't for biggest comeback, it was for most points in the 4th quarter.

It was a tight game until Detroit exploded (and Bears imploded) in the 4th quarter.

13 The best part of this.......both teams are looking up at the Packers.

It was a great game!

I finally get to see my team in action again--the last time I saw them move & shake was pre-Barry Sanders, it was #20 Billy Sims in '83!!  Now that was a team!!

16 Having endured humiliating defeats for the past 2 years at Solider Field it was sure nice to talk some trash to the Chicago fans outside Ford Field yesterday. Now I hope they make a game of it Oct 28.

17 And Northwestern melted down against the Wolverines Saturday.  In the 4th quarter, as I understand it.

Not a good weekend for Chicago area football teams.

But those of us who are from Michigan are loving it.  But then, as long as jenny-poo is running the State, we have to take our comfort where we can.

18 Man, my guts still hurt from laughing at those Griese updates yesterday.

Super Bowl?  Pats v. Cowboys.

I'm from Detroit, and this team is a year away.  This year's edition is still worth watching, though--they win ugly games and they don't quit.  The last is a new phenomenon in these parts.  And for fans of Air Coryell:  Kitna is usually good for 35 pass attempts.
