Stupid Old Whore Katie Couric Regrets Conveying the Misimpression That She Is Stupid and an Old Whore
— Ace

In what was called a modified limited hang-out during Watergate days -- a partial admission combined with a continuing denial about the deadliest of the charges arrayed against you -- Katie Couric admits when she first saw the "stump the chump" edit in the documentary she's serving as a spokesmodel for, she wondered "What the hell is that about?"

But she still won't admit this was a deliberate hatchet job against political enemies.

Exit question: is it time for these leftist frontmen to admit they don't really do much of the research or writing in the projects they allegedly "produce"?

[can't fault lack of health insurance now that we have ObamaCare] 7 - This blatant statement of the agenda: "UNDER THE GUN examines the events and people who have kept the gun debate fierce and the progress slow, even as gun deaths and mass shootings continue to increase." Posted by: SH Not really, the only real pushback that I can remember is the liberal NJ Supreme Court forced NJ to change the name on the ballot to a different Dem candidate because Toricelli had dropped out despite the fact the law had clearly said the window had passed. Anything is possible, but an independent candidate getting their name forced on the ballot in violation of state law sounds like a stretch, especially since a voter can always write the name in.

Biden can't simply swoop in now as a substitute.

States have deadlines to be on the ballot. Texas has already passed and some additional states deadlines are close.

How could you simply drop Biden into the slot, when you have a viable candidate who has gone through the primary process, is on all the ballots and has won numerous primaries, and acquired a large contingent of delegates?

Even the Democrat party is not that stupid. If the superdelegates decide that Hillary is too toxic and decide to vote for Bernie, Bernie will be the candidate.

But (arguing on both sides of this issue) I can imagine Joe's faux-sober face, all solemn regret, the healer, the wise man, the man who so recently emerged from tragedy with dignity and courage, the man to accept the mantle of leadership in these troubled times, all with those fake-moist eyes and that fake-firm chin. People will look at something like that and melt.

Sure.  But do you think that Teh Donald - who has no problem with bringing up the Syphilitic Hillbilly's rapes - won't body-slam Choo-Choo over stealing speeches from Neil Kinnock?  I doubt Trump's going to roll over just because Slow Joe took the  crayons out of his nose and combed his hair to look like he wuz presidentin'.

Posted by: SH at May 31, 2016 02:52 PM (gmeXX) I believe what has been found unconstitutional is individual states creating ballot deadline rules via Sec. of State instead of legislatively, so that minor parties(Green Party, Communist Party, etc.) cannot effectively get on the ballot due to onerous rules. Ohio is one such example I was able to find on Lexis Nexus.

340 Not sure if anyone anywhere has pointed this out yet, but... The editing technique that Katie Couric used is actually very commonplace in modern "reality shows," and is often used simply to heighten tension, in a non-political way. The standard use of the technique is like this: In a crime reality show, like A&E's "The First 48," they show the cops interviewing a witness in the police station Interview Room. The interrogation is presented to the reader essentially in real time, but then, just before the ad break, the cop finally gets around to the money question: "Did you see the guy actually shoot the victim?" The edit then jumps to the witness sitting there silently, apparently thinking about the answer, as the climactic music swells -- and then we cut away to commercials before the witness answers. Then, after the commercials, the editors have wound the scene back 10 seconds, and we watch all over again as the cope asks, "Did you see the guy actually shoot the victim?" And once again the witness seems to sit there cogitating, scheming, silently for many seconds, and then finally he answers, "No -- no, I did not actually see the shooting." At first, I was tricked the way the viewers are supposed to be tricked, into thinking that the witness is being cagey, and his hesitation is an indication that he is conjuring up a lie. But after the same "pause" is shown happening in almost every interview, I realize that what the editors are doing is a. Show the cop asking the question, and then b. Cut to the witness but back the film up by ten seconds, and remove the audio during those ten seconds, and zoom in on the witness, so that the witness appears to be sitting there AFTER the question is asked, in silence, but what we're actually seeing it the witness sitting there in silence WHILE THE QUESTION IS BEING ASKED, and then the audio is restored when he answers. In actual real-time reality, he answered immediately after the question, but it is deceptively edited to make it look like he pauses before answering. I'm 100% positive that Katie Couric and her editors borrowed this technique from crime reality shows, where it is used in almost every show, often more then once. But then Couric used it for political purposes, rather than to simply heighten tension as a "cliffhanger" before a commercial, as they do in the crime shows.

367 The European Jewish Congress is demanding that action be taken against a British lawmaker at the European Parliament, who compared Israelis to a skin disease. We can give you a list of all the things we attempted to do, the Israelis are all over this place like a rash, MEP Martina Anderson from Northern Ireland said last week during a meeting at the parliament in Brussels on May 25. EJC President Moshe Kantor on Monday called on European Parliament President Martin Schulz to take disciplinary action against her. Once again we hear deeply offensive statements about Jews from a European public figure and we demand action, Kantor said in a statement. The comparison of Israelis, or more precisely Jews, to a disease is incitement and has its roots in neo-Nazi and far-Right discourse. Thus demonstrating once again that the far-Left and the far-Right too frequently speak the same language and use the same terminology when referring to Jews or the Jewish State. Anderson represents the Sinn Fein party, which favors independence for Northern Ireland from Britain and that used to be affiliated with the now-disbanded IRA terrorist group, whose full name was the Provisional Irish Republican Army. She is a former convicted terrorist with the IRA. She served part of a life sentence after being convicted in taking part in a bombing of a hotel in Brighton, England in 1984 and planning mass bombing attacks on 12 English resort towns. Sounds like a lovely "lady"

397 A story you don't hear often is how Biden said publicly that the other driver in the accident that also killed his wife and child was driving drunk. A bold faced lie. The man's widow and daughter begged Biden to recant and to stop making these accusations but he wouldn't. The authorities tested his blood and there wasn't a drop of alcohol or drugs. Biden is a nasty piece of work that lies like a rug to try and garner sympathy. Posted by: Cheri at May 31, 2016 03:27 PM (oiNtH) ----------------------- omg, I didn't even know this. What a POS.

402 Ok, being completely objective, I could see someone saying that they admire Hillary! Sure she has merely rode the condom tails of her husband. Sure, she has been incompetent and indeed criminal in her duties at those jobs she has had. However, she did become Secretary of State, and the position at least, does have a certain distinction. (Stop Laughing.) What I cannot get, is anyone saying she is likable. Bill always struck me wrong, but you hear people talk about personal interactions and you get the sense that he does have considerable charm for a lot of people. I have never ever heard an anecdote about Hillary where she comes across as warm and personable. Quite the opposite.

422 I really admire you, I really like you, I just don't know if I can vote for a woman to be president." I think HRC is letting her inner demons out. I mean, the mask really slips here. She's unlikeable. She has no admirable qualities. Her unfulfilled desire to be liked and admired probably haunts her every shuffling step. Her broken marriage and the rejection of every human being who does not view her as a means of attaining some power or influence has to fill every waking moment for her. Everyone, but everyone around Hillary is using her. She knows this in her heart. Simultaneously she must know that her unlikeabliity has nothing to do with her gender. There are lots and lots of likeable women. Admirable, even. She's not one of them, and not because she's a woman, but because she is a shriveled husk of concentrated hate and lust for power. So we hear the beginning of the rationalization for her loss come out; denial that losing could be because of her--she tells herself she's liked and admired. She imagines that people can't help stopping her to tell her that. But they also admit that they are weak, sycophants of the patriarchy who lack the courage of conviction to vote for a woman like their conscience compels them to do. They're admitting to her, in person, of how unworthy they really are of even her gaze resting upon them. And it will be the fault of such wretched human failures if she is not elected, because she is a woman, and likeable, and admirable.

This is classic Lefty tactic of blurring distinction between legal gun ownership (for defense, sport) and illegal gun ownership by criminals.

They blur illegal immigration/legal immigration ---> you're either for "immigration" or your a racists, jingoistic American.

They blur health care with health insurance ---> you're either for health coverage for all (socialized medicine) or you're heartless and want poor people to literally dies in the streets.
