Redskins Star QB RGIII: "In a land of freedom we are being held hostage by the tyranny of political correctness"
— Ace

"Cornball Brother" Status: Confirmed.

The left is freaking out. Some are threatening to stop watching the Redskins. Others, strangely enough, are threatening to quit the Los Angeles Times, despite not even working there. I guess it's #AThing now.

96 A D.C. Council member is preparing to introduce a resolution calling on the Washington Redskins to change its name, perhaps to the Washington Redtails. Council member David Grosso, an independent elected last year, said he plans to pursue his non-binding resolution because the current name is “a derogatory, racist name.” “It’s been a long time that we’ve had this name associated with Washington, and I think its time we take a stand and change it,” Grosso said. Grosso is circulating his resolution to other council members to try to get co-sponsors. So far, he said, council members Muriel Bowser (D-Ward 4) and Kenyan McDuffie (D-Ward 5) have agreed to sign on to it. Redtails. Yeah classy?

-- Do ANY of you know ANYONE who wakes up in the morning and says "Another day, another need for more political correctness"?

Almost everyone I know or ever have known, yes.

The form it takes, rather than before I put on my make-up, I plan a little re-education camp for you is insane reactionary blowups whenever they encounter (or even suspect) any resistance to it. In some businesses, this is known as "plausible deniability." They (you know who, although it's nobody) are (virulently, uniformly, madly) anti-anti-, not (soi-disant) pro-. Like Stalin didn't call himself "Russian Hitler," so they weren't the same at all. Right? Right.

This football guy, all he offered is a vague objection to...whatever. To whatever could be called "political correctness." (And somehow we all know exactly what he means, because it surrounds us all on all sides, despite no one's being for it.) For that, for resisting, for resisting...what? and with only a handful of words, his life is gonna get fucked up--to the degree that it's possible for other people to fuck it up.

Which in his case probably isn't too much, or he wouldn't have felt free to say it.

111 Holy shit. It gets better! Robert Griffin III was the perfect guest at the Vanity Fair/Bloomberg party Saturday: Charming, relaxed, willing to pose for a photo with anyone who asked. The Redskins’ star quarterback lingered for more than two hours, leaving the ultra-exclusive bash with team owner Dan Snyder just before 2 a.m. Which makes what happened earlier that night so surprising: RGIII apparently blew off not just the White House Correspondents’ Association dinner — where he was to be the guest of NBC — but a private pre-dinner reception with President Obama as well. --- The reason RGIII gave - “Something came up and he couldn’t go,” Poor, poor Barky.

Because the partisan left is mostly comprised of psychopaths.  And I mean that in the clinical sense.

Their first, last and only thought upon hearing about the loss of life in Newton, Boston, or West was how they could best exploit those events for political gain and demonize those they disagree with.

Liberalism lends itself well to the psychopath.  They show little concern for the individual (except themselves), instead feigning respect for the specific demographic identity groups.  But only to the extent those groups can help advance their own goals.

They don't really care about minorities, the poor, or any other historically oppressed group- we see that every time one steps off the liberal plantation.  They only care about what those groups can do for them and their desire for power.

200 I think this is what started all this. RGIII was asked at the FedEx Field draft party what his favorite moment was last season: "YouÂ’ve got to start with the last game against the Cowboys. Alfred Morris runs for 200 yards, does a great job. Then we go back to the game on Thanksgiving and we spanked the Cowboys. We made Cowboys Stadium our home. And thatÂ’s what we want to continue to do." (http://tinyurl.com/cznlvz4) That was interpreted that as trash talking and dissing. He also tweeted: "You ever say something & people interpret it a certain way but you didn't mean it that way but meant it how you said it??? Yea..."

201 They're in a rage because they believe that conservatives are keeping them from achieving a land where peace, love, equality and justice always prevail. We're standing in the way of a veritable Eden. Obama, the messiah would bring this if it weren't for the evil heretics.

202 18 Feh. I'll start watching the NFL again when they wear brown ribbons for prostate cancer awareness. I thought those were white ribbons. Because, splooge. Posted by: Cicero (@cicero) at April 30, 2013 05:24 PM (8ZskC) Nope, it's blue, for the blue balls.

Why?  Have you heard of a significant number of aboriginal Americans being offended by it?  Or change the mascot to a potato.

I don't want for indigenous Americans to be offended but I strongly suspect that a bunch of dipshit white people with sand in their cracks are the ones driving this express.  And I'm tired of not telling them to go fuck themselves.

207 61 Funny thing about this Jason Collins guy... I think I know about 3 NBA players by name and sight: Kobe, Labron, and now Jason Collins. Surely there are other players in that league worth talking about, right? Posted by: BurtTC at April 30, 2013 05:32 PM (BeSEI) Apparently you only really know two of them. Not that it really matters. The NBA became irrelevant to me when Jordan retired the second time.

208 22 Imagine how RGIII's critics would be bashing him if he were playing for the Washington Darkies, - not that any of that shit matters. I denounce myself. Posted by: Fritz at April 30, 2013 05:26 PM (G9Mmf) The next football team in LA should be called the LA Soul Brothas or the LA Vatos.

209 I didn't really know who the guy was until last fall.  Saw him doing an interview.. Down to earth, doesn't seem to be into the Thug bullshit.

Dude's got his shit in one bag.

Needs to stop running the ball or he's gonna be done before he even get's going.

215 RGIII is a class act. Finished undergrad in three years while playing ball, his senior year he was working on a master's degree, and had been accepted to law school. Could the reason the usual suspects rage on him and Dr Ben Carson be that these two men have busted their butts to achieve something on their own, and have refused the gangsta lifestyle, because its trashy.. They want more for themselves and their families through excellence and hard work, and that doesn't fit the mold the left has written for people of ethnic persuasions??

The fact the he was raised with *two* parents has a lot to do with how he has turned out.

223 It kills me that RGIII is in the Giants division. You don't see quarterbacks outrun Osi Umenyora (sp) very often, let alone every EFFFING time.

224 Preach it Mr. Griffin (but a lot of very average, run of the mill Black folks would have told people the same thing...don't think it isn't out there, don't think it isn't known). Time to remember the forgotten men; time to start listening to all the forgotten men. They've been looking for an audience for a while now.

225 Moki- I was just going to mention the same CV. He also made the Dean's List while at Baylor and graduated with close to a 3.7 GPA. Being a military brat myself, I know where it comes from. And, yes, it bugs them because he shatters the stereotype and because he is in the perfect city to be a role model to kids. Going back to Rob Parker's comments, he didn't spit out "cornball brother" nearly as contemptuously as he did "I hear he might even be a Republican...". Makes me laugh every time I think about it. He looked so distraught!!

228 Sorry RGIII but your racial heritage and minority status has been permanently revoked and will have to be given to some white boy demorat.  Penance will have to be severe so you have your choices: Admit to being gay or have a weakness for little boys or are secretly a Muslim and have a weakness for livestock.  Sorry, but political correctness can be quite unforgiving.  Your minority rights can be re-established, but it ain't gonna be easy.  Hate whitey speech might help a little.

229 Speaking as a football fan whose team also has a black QB with some great ethics and a handle on what being a role model might include (Russell Wilson), I too have become an RGIII fan, mostly due to the incredible way he has handled the pressure of expectations and the media hothouse. I knew both his folks were Army. And I have no doubt he can take whatever the media/lefties dish out. He is special. Now, sweetie, puh-lease learn to run out of bounds a few times. No one will question your abilities and we'll have you around longer to watch. It's the one area Russell truly understands a bit better than you. But this Seahawk fan does love her some RGIII ! (Do you realize that the iPhone/iPad automatically fills in RGIII? Take that, all you leftist gnats!!)
