5 I just spent 5 minutes contemplating chicken or steak. I just discovered supermarkets sell marinated chicken breast -- ready for the grill. I got the lemon pepper sauce one. I decided on steak.

30 26 That is my favorite commercial. I would almost buy whatever it is he is selling, just because that is such an awesome commercial. Also, what is up with his teeth? Are they dentures or are they his real teeth???

Posted by: Moki at April 27, 2014 04:17 PM (EvHC8)

31 Hey, Moki!!!  I have wondered that, too, and have been riveted when that ad airs.  I think they must be real because who would make dentures that freaky?

Posted by: shredded chi at April 27, 2014 04:22 PM (xsTvq)

35 NDH, might as well ask why the HKSAR giant red robot has three arms.  And even with the pilots in mental synch, they still talk to each other.

Posted by: Anna Puma (+SmuD) at April 27, 2014 04:23 PM (bKEDY)

36 Also, I made an awesome brisket that was insanely easy. Trim the fat off of a 4-6 pound brisket, then mix a bottle of chili sauce with a packet of onion soup mix, and pour over the beef. Refrigerate overnight, then in the morning put it in the oven at 275 for 7-10 hours. It made hubby very happy, along with deviled eggs and baked beans.

Posted by: Peaches at April 27, 2014 04:26 PM (8lmkt)

42 It almost seem like they start shows like Resurrection with an idea good enough for a half dozen episodes and after that they're just stuck throwing shit against the wall.

Posted by: lowandslow at April 27, 2014 04:26 PM (IV4od)

43 Moki...nice...briskets are way over priced here. Small and fatty are what I mostly find. I do better with corned beef and they're pricy as well. Country pork ribs are the deal here.

I won't spring for cable, so I'm stuck with network B.S. I'd almost rather watch Burn Notice reruns... As to the brisket recipe - I'll have to keep an eye out. I try to only buy meat on sale (call me cheap, call me poor - I'm both), but that sounds tasty. And I keep chili sauce in the cupboard.

Posted by: shredded chi at April 27, 2014 04:37 PM (xsTvq)

55 43- dumbartist, I wager you could do this with a boneless chuck roast or a London broil. You would just have to cut down the cooking time. I think the chili sauce would not be a good mix with corned beef, but that's just me.

If there’s no two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict soon, Israel risks becoming “an apartheid state,” Secretary of State John Kerry told a room of influential world leaders in a closed-door meeting Friday.
