Mostly Peaceful Occupy Oakland Teenager Murders Parents
— Ace

Helter Skelter.

Co-workers said Poff and Kamin were having some arguments with their son, some of it having to do with him spending too much time in the Occupy Oakland encampment, but nothing that sounded beyond the scope of typical teenage rebelliousness.

The story is being circulated to the media by late-entering candidate Sweet Meteor of Death. Reached for comment, Sweet Meteor of Death noted: "Only I have a plan to stop this."

I'm not the least bit surprised.  The Occupy (bowel) movement is nothing but a bunch of criminals looking for the chance to act like criminals.  It makes sense that they'd attract nascent criminals, too.

I have to wonder why a teenager was even allowed to attend the Occupy Oakland "protest" alone given the violence that has become a hallmark of OWS, and Occupy Oakland especially.  I suppose the parents were telling him he couldn't go visit anymore and he took that badly.  Whether or not it was the reason for the crime remains to be seen.  I doubt it was the sole cause, if it had any bearing on the crime at all.  But what do I know?  I'm not a brainwashed left coast Occutard.

I hope his adoptive parents rest in peace.

Speaking of asteroids, I saw an interesting show on NatGeo last night. (OK, actually it's interesting only if you're a geek.) Anyway, they found a small impact crater about 60 miles from Rome. Doing sciency stuff they determined that an asteroid probably struck in the fourth century. That plus local legend makes the asteroid a good candidate for causing the cross that Emperor Constantine saw in the sky that cause him to convert to Christianity and to recognizing Christianity in the Roman Empire. But for that asteroid the history of Europe may have been far different.

If it's like every PT Cruiser I've seen in Mass., it has 'em. I think they're installed at the factory.

This is a distraction from the CBO's announcement that the deficit (which they projected would fall below $1 trillion) will rise to roughly $1.3 trillion this year. The stuttering clusterfuck of a miserable failure will no doubt announce wonderful new programs to help his OWS buddies, various terrorists and  race-baiting groups that "won't cost taxpayers a dime."

Actually, he's right about that. His continued wasteful spending will cost all of us a helluva lot more than a dime....

Yeah, I don't trust the speculaty type sciency stuff.  I recall a show they did regarding pyramids and/or sphynx, where they were talking about who did what and when.  I don't remember the details exactly, but as they were talking to these people they realized their calculations put them a few centuries off.

So they simply revised their guesses to assume whatever it is they were speculating about must have happened a few centuries earlier/later than was previously assumed.

Absolutely true!

Why did he have to kill his parents?  If he was in the mood to murder he could have gone and killed a druggie down at Occupy Oakland.  They're cool with murder in the Occupy (bowel) movement.  Also rape, theft, and general lawlessness.

If you pay attention, almost all of these shows devote an awful lot of time to "debunking" the Bible, Judaism, and Christianity.

It's almost like they have some vested interest in those things not being true.

117 ummmmm, San Francisco is more.....complicated than most of you realize.

It's increasingly a city of Chinese immigrants and White retirees ( mostly government employees lovin' those fat checks from groaning taxpayers )

The Black percentage of the city population is half what it wat when I and Mrs Stan lived there in the early-mid 70s -- 6, down from 13 %

White blue collar families are mostly gone; White kids are rare, and seen only in private /  Catholic schools.  Clement Street, funky and neo-hippy in the 70s, is cluttered with very old Chinese people wandering the sidewalks  ( serious traffic hazard, BTW ).   Store signs are mostly in Chinese

The only two signs on Geary Street remaining from the 70s are a funeral home and the Geary Theatre ( edgy movies )

Hotel rooms are insanely expensive, plus $60 a night to park your car

Well, I'm cynical, but the more people can be dissuaded from adopting older children, the more jobs open up for (unionized?) government workers with "studies" degrees to staff group homes and programs to provide their healthcare and cultural enrichment whatnot (followed by more jobs in the prisons and "victim services" agencies, etc). More sob stories to beat the "government spends too much" crowd.

Same as the motivation for closing down Catholic adoption agencies.

.

What's disconcerting....is the  way  that they miss a lot of the ones that whiz past us really close. ....But then they post them after they went by.

.

For example, there was one on 01/27/12 which went past us at 0.2 LD....0.2 "lunar distances', or 2 tenths of the distance between the earth and the moon. ....Which is kinda close, in the scheme of things. .....This wasn't posted until the day after it happened. ....They do this a lot.

.

I have wondered if they do this because they don't want people to panic....or if they really do miss that many of the ones that come past us at a fairly close distance. .....In all fairness though, it is a really big-ass sky to be keeping watch over.

186 How did they explain the "In hoc signo vinces" thing?
 - - - - - -

Basically what they had was a crater that may or may not have been caused by a meteor (the Italian parks department wouldn't let them do the tests that would have given more information) which was apparently created around the time of Constantin's vision.  In addition to that there were local legends dating back at least centuries about a a pagan temple that was destroyed mid-orgy by a description of what may have been a meteor strike.  In addition, there was a Christian catacombs from that period that showed many Christians that had died violently, the speculation being that Constantin may not have been the only one that thought that Jehovah was behind it but not everybody was happy about it and some thought that the Christians needed to pay in blood.  There are also local legends about such a persecution arsing from such an event.  Constantin came up with the slogan.  It wasn't written in the sky.

Although there were opposing scientists, I didn't see this as an attempt to discredit Christianity.  A cross in the sky would have to arise somehow.  Why not with a meteor?  Who are we tell God his business?

Incidentally, the biggest supporters of the God's meteor theory is the mayor of the nearby small town who loves him some sweet, sweet tourist money.

In short, a lot of it is speculation but it was interesting speculation.  Far more interesting than which bimbo was screwing which stud muffin as is repeated ad nauseam on network TV.

231 A Corollary to the "Big Bang Theory" is that all life began after the "Big Bang" but basic physics would say that both matter and energy doesn't just come into being.  Who is to say that their wasn't life before the "Big Bang" ?  I know you can prove it.

On the same plane of thought, the problem for evolutionists with “Intelligent design” goes to the basic religious philosophy that "there is God and there is man."  Evolutionists depend on religion to disprove any notion of “Intelligent Design” in order to throw religion out of science (it's an interesting Catch-22).

If we cast aside the stricture, and put forth the conjecture that there could be a being or race of beings between God and man.  I know it's really hard for humans to accept that there could be any being higher than them but there are plenty of places in this or any parallel universe or universes for multiple races of higher beings to exist.  Once you throw out that religious stricture, it's much easier to accept your potential lowliness in the universe, and the concept of “Intelligent design” by a higher being, whether you call him/her/it "God" or not.

250 - Growing tension between a 15-year-old boy and his parents that finally exploded may have been behind the youth strangling them to death an hour apart inside their Lake Merritt area home before hiding their bodies inside the family car and later trying to set it on fire, authorities said Tuesday. .... Authorities said the youth was vague about the motive for the killings. But authorities said there had been growing tension about his conduct between the youth and his parents, which intensified after he was suspended twice within a month from the charter school he was attending. The fear of possibly being disciplined over the second suspension may have been the catalyst for the killings, said Officer Phong Tran, the lead investigator .... Authorities said at one point last November he ran away and spent time with Occupy Oakland protesters, both at 14th and Broadway and Snow Park. Sources said he may have also burglarized the family house and stolen another family car when he ran away. It was not clear when he returned home but tension apparently continued and last Wednesday he was suspended from school. It was about 6 p.m. Thursday, shortly after his mother returned home from work, that they got into an argument apparently about the suspension and he strangled her, police said. The boy, who authorities said has a black belt in martial arts, then put her body in a darkened room and waited for his father to come home from work, police said. When Kamin got home about 7 p.m. the boy attacked him from behind and strangled him to death, police said .... http://goo.gl/wizZ1
