Lisa Page Refuses to Honor Congressional Subpoena; Will Not Testify Tomorrow Alongside Her Lover Peter Strzok
— Open Blogger

A congressman speculated -- accurately, I'd speculate myself -- that Page merely wants to wait to hear Peter Strzok's testimony first before she testifies herself, so that she can, um, align her story to properly fit with Strzok's.

He notes that her excuse of needing more time to prepare is nonsense; she's had seven months to prepare.

For what it's worth (which isn't much), Paul Ryan says she has the opportunity to plead the Fifth, but she must appear either way, because a "subpeona is not optional."

5 Unless and until she is literally handcuffed and forcibly put in front of the House committee where she can publicly plead the 5th, this is nothing. Worse than nothing since Gummy Boo-Boo is going to get off scot free.

11 Carried over from the last thread: Next time have them bring her back in manacles. Isn't there still a long-unused jail in the U.S. Capitol building? I thought I'd read about that. If so, time to sweep it out and make it ready. If not, the regular D.C. city jail would do. Make sure her cellies know she's an FBI agent. Ryan is pretending to be semi-tuff ... we'll see if he is just a paper tiger, as he has been ... forever.  Maybe ask Mueller for advice.  Sessions ... oh, he can't do anything ever about anything that might influence something to do with anything for any time period where he was involved in something to do with anything.

But Mueller/Rosenstein can be the hitmen that pulled the trigger on Lady Liberty in the back alley with the lead pipe no grease on video, 100 witnesses, and still be beyond reproach, trust them completely (or they will Arknacide you).

134 Two sets of rules. It's binary! ----- It's always been this way - Democrats have been, to a large degree, above the law for my entire life - Chappaquiddick happened before I was born. But the last several weeks have been absolutely flagrant... Inauguration protesters let off the hook. Awan let off the hook (for espionage against the US Congress, for criminy's sake). Manafort being held like he's Hannibal Lecter. Roger Stone being roto-rootered by Torquemueller. Now this. The gloves are off. In the next few months, shit's gonna get real, and real fast. This is lack-of-virtue signalling. They're telling their peeps - do whatever the fuck you want. All of you low-level Red Hen types, all of you high-level government criminal goons, fear not! Do as thou wilt, for there is no law. And for the rest of you... don't you dare make a peep. If you retaliate against what's coming in even the smallest way, we'll crush you like a bug. And until the flies and ants came, methinks it was the finest love-making that the world hath ever known.

It's hilarious how stompy foot Ryan and others are getting about this. They didn't do crap when Holder was held in contempt because let's face it, they can't enforce anything. Same here. Unless the DOJ wants to get a warrant issued for her( by the way, her lawyer released a new photo of her tonight, major makeover, and no teeth showing in the smile), congress can't do a thing about her not showing up. 179 152 I remember the first time Peter and I made love. We had pulled over after a long Sunday drive. Peter led me to a clearing, laid me down upon a bed of fresh meadow grasses. He then rubbed my nubile body with fruit linaments and noxema. Then he artfully covered my back with melted butter and cloves. And until the flies and ants came, methinks it was the finest love-making that the world hath ever known.

Posted by: Lover Lisa Page at July 11, 2018 07:07 PM (DuAZ5)

153 Yes, my lover Lisa how I remember that time! Another day, my lover Lisa and I returned to the Krypsona from the beach. Our bodies browned by the sun. And the locals had killed and roasted a goat and we filled our bellies with goat meat. Our hands greasy. Our mouths glistening. And we made love once again, our bodies sluggish with goat meat. Lisa and I made love so powerfully, methinks I heard the god Zeus chuckling from on high!

189 Just to put a smile on everyone's face, remember that this is, and always has been a Political battle. The more the pawns Strozk and Page goof off in public, the worse the deep state looks, and the more triumphant Trump looks. This is about discrediting the DOJ and the FBI completely, and winning this falls elections. Sure, it may be a bit distasteful to admit that openly, but that's what the stakes of this game are now. In fact that's what the stakes have always been. Justice, shmustice, that's not what any of this is about.

But, if a bunch of blow hard, self-important jackasses want to ask me questions in front of some jacked up committee for their own personal preening. Screw that. I'm under no obligation to subdue to their wishes. They represent me. It's not the other way around. So, as much as I dislike Page, and her exploits in what is obvious interference in a general election, I don't think she (or anyone for that matter, who is not employed and overseen by Congress) should be obligated to attend any of that nonsense. They have oversight on public institutions. They do no have oversight on private citizens...nor should they.

349 >>Jackstraw, your faith in the integrity of these lawyers is truly inspiring. Not at all. I keep asking for someone to give me a good reason why Trump would keep Rosenstein around if he was trying to screw Trump. Nobody ever has. I have faith that Trump knows exactly what is going on, has since the fall of 2016 and is allowing things to play out slowly so the public has a chance to take in the totality of the corruption. That's always been my position and I've seen nothing to make me change my mind yet.

Posted by: Lizzy at July 11, 2018 07:36 PM (W+vEI) I hereby propose a new unit, the barack, as the unit of disaster. Granted, it's a large unit, much like the farad or the kohn, but we can use microbaracks to describe, e.g., train wrecks.

Posted by: JackStraw at July 11, 2018 07:47 PM (/tuJf) --- How about this. The guys behind Rosenstein are even bigger Obamabots. And the Senate, leery of the appearance of all these staffing changes, already told Trump he has the staffing he's going to get. I know for sure they told him that on Sessions.

358 It is in the interest of America's security if NATO leaders push back against the reckless behavior of Donald Trump, who is dangerously naive and grossly ignorant of how the world works. If Europe doesn't care enough about Europe to defend itself, why should we care? They are like unweaned adults. We need to cover our teats in order to encourage them to grow up. I doubt Russia has the ability or the desire to take over Europe anyway. Europe's biggest threat is from within, and NATO can't fix that.
