Lance Armstrong Doping Investigation Finds Armstrong Clean, French Labs Dirty
— Ace

Yup. Not only was Armstrong completely innocent of doping violations, but the French lab has been found to have been malicious and unprofessional in attempting to get the American disqualified from his victory.

You want to talk about jingoism? Let's talk about the French. At least Americans have good reason to be nationalistic.

1 Hm, combination of French - US or US – French is like "The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed." C. Jung.
Yeah, 

5 Sure, it was a moment of weakness. But just consider how annoyed they get every time you point that out.

Makes all that effort worthwhile.

7 In the past, France was always the epitome of fashion, cuisine, philosophy, romance, and so on. Paris has always been "le place to be".

But in recent years they seem to have squandered their international image by being so petty and insecure about it. It's really weird. If they'd just tone down the defensiveness, they'd be fine. I don't get it.

8 Keep testing the samples till you get the answer you want. If a court doesn't stop you, eventually you'll get the "right answer" and find him guilty.

9 The Independent interviewing Ted Nugent:

"What do these deer think when they see you coming?" I ask him. "Here comes the nice guy who puts out our dinner? Or, there's the man that shot my brother?"

"I don't think they're capable of either of those thoughts, you Limey asshole. They're only interested in three things: the best place to eat, having sex and how quickly they can run away. Much like the French."

Wonder if a certain district attorney in Durham, NC is about to send 46 samples over to the French labs for a little testing ... and testing ... and testing ... and testing ...

13 You don't have to _actually_ boycott France. But if you visit, just make sure you keep saying 'Nice wine, vaguely reminds me of my favorite Californian wine.'

14 Bonus points if you say it in German.

15 Not to forget - this is the same treacherous French that bombed the Rainbow Warrior.
