Kevin Spacey Accused of Sexual Harassment by Male Actor; Cops to a Plea of "Gay";
Netflix Pulls Plug

— Ace

Spacey is being attacked by other gay actors for allegedly conflating the charge of sexual harassment/assault with just being gay.

Rapp, best known for starring in "Rent," said in an interview on Sunday that he was a teenager when Spacey made a sexual advance toward him and pushed him down on a bed.

No no no no no! You do not get to “choose” to hide under the rainbow! Kick rocks! https://twitter.com/kevinspacey/status/924848412842971136 …
1:54 AM - Oct 30, 2017

O'Donnell tweeted to Spacey on Monday, "u don't remember the incident - 30 years ago? - f--k u kevin - like Harvey we all knew about u - I hope more men come forward."

Comedian Wanda Sykes, who is a lesbian and outspoken member of the LGBT community, also sounded off on Spacey on Twitter early Monday saying that he can’t "'choose' to hide under the rainbow."

Spacey said he has had relationships with both men and women throughout his life and chooses "now to live as a gay man."

Here's Spacey's statement about the charge, in which he claims he doesn't remember the incident, but if it did happen he was drunk, and also, he's gay and please respect his privacy.

A bit Jim McGreevey-ish. The former NJ governor was accused of diverting money to an unqualified male staffer he was having a gay affair with, and his press conference basically said "If I'm guilty of anything, it's of being very proud to be a Gay American." Not really what you were being accused of, dude.

Even George Takei criticized Spacey.

Netflix has announced that they're pulling the plug on Spacey's silly soap opera House of Cards, though they'll show the sixth (and now last) season.

So just one more burst of three or four weeks of having to listen or read people squeeing about this show.

In more Weinstein-esque news, Corey Feldman says he'll finally name names in a film about Hollywood pedophilia -- but it'll take $10 million.

He also told Lauer he already gave the names to the Santa Barbara Police Department in 1993 when they questioned him about Michael Jackson.

"I sat down and I gave them the names," Feldman told Lauer adding that Jackson is innocent. "They're on record. They have all this information."

Why $10 million for something that can be done on a handheld prosumer camera in a couple of weekends of interviews, a few weeks of collecting B-roll footage of the accused and old reports about pedophilia, and basically be done and over in three months at a cost of no more than $100,000? I don't know.

Update: In 2013, Seth McFarlane, as you probably know, cracked a joke about female Oscar Nominees no longer having to pretend they were sexually attracted to Harvey Weinstein.

In an old Family Guy episode, a naked Stewie runs about shouting "Help! I've escaped from Kevin Spacey's basement! Help me!"

13 Why $10M? Probably because the movie will cost, as you say, about $100,000, but he'll need the other $9.9M to live off of and hire private security, because he'll certainly never work again. And will need someone to start his car for him from then on..... What ever.

103 You just failed Hollywood Film Production 101. What the industry needs is a new Ed Wood. No, not the wearing-women's-clothing-thing, the making wacked out movies on a less-than-shoestring budget. I mean-- low budget has an easier time of recouping the budget, since they don't require more tickets to be sold than there are people or whatever that stat was for that one expensive movie. (Like, if a movie costs ten million, they need to sell one million tickets at $10 profit each to break even. Eventually, you get diminishing returns.)

105 I don't believe for a second that Jackson was innocent. Forty year old men don't have sleep overs with little boys, do each other's hair, and sip hot chocolate and then make huge payments to the families afterwards for nothing. Maybe Feldman genuinely like MJ and wanted to believe that he was not guilty. I don't think that Feldman was Jackson's type - too old.

168 I don't understand the outrage (fake or not) about Spacey's statement. Its kind of horrific that anyone gets drunk enough that they wouldn't remember actions such as the ones he is accused of but, by both accounts he was drunk and so likely really does not remember his actions (if they happened at all) and likely would not remember even if it was the next day... much less 30 years later.

I know the fact that he is gay was a pretty open secret but I had never heard he was a predator other than today from Rosie O'Donnell.

Which brings me to my rather large problem with this whole Hollywood scandal... accusations made years after the fact are literally irrefutable for the alleged perpetrator. I have a large problem with "victims" who don't actually complain (or file charges) at the time of time they are assaulted (or flashed or whatever the charge would be). Accepting as truth charges leveled years later, and by people who have something to gain by even falsely accusing someone of wrongdoing, encourages witch-hunting NOT due process and justice.

That, of course, doesn't touch on the level of bad parenting involved in letting a 14 year old attend a grown-folks party with drinking and party goers of questionable morals.

182 170 I don't understand the outrage (fake or not) about Spacey's statement. Its kind of horrific that anyone gets drunk enough that they wouldn't remember actions such as the ones he is accused of but, by both accounts he was drunk and so likely really does not remember his actions (if they happened at all) and likely would not remember even if it was the next day... much less 30 years later. Posted by: redbanzai at October 30, 2017 04:02 PM (rAIG/) ============== It's that he's completely bypassing the pedophile stuff and hiding behind the gay label. 184 This is the tip of the iceberg with Spacey...but not necessarily in Hollywood. And look, if he was drunk, and it was 30 years ago, he may not remember it was this specific actor. But he does know his own behavior & it was possible. There are probably more. Anyway, there was a police incident in London where he was trolling at 3 AM in the morning at a park, and it sounds like he was looking for some anonymous sex. The 411 on him has always been he likes rough trade. So if some underaged male pros came forward it would not be a surprise....though he maybe paid him off.

While you may be correct, there is a vein of PC here in the horde that will chide you for saying so because they have gay friends who are not pedophiles. However, every instance you hear about boys being abused begin with a homosexual man doing the abusing. And then, right on cue, the abuser always claims he is gay because some old homosexual diddled him when he was young. But we can't say that because it might offend someone. As if the homosexual "lifestyle" wasn't offensive enough to those of us who hold strong religious beliefs about that subject. But let's not offend anyone, hey?

Pretty much all of those fans have a reverse switch on them. In the winter if you reverse them they circulate air up and it comes down along the walls so the heat gets circulated back down and will keep the heat in the room more uniform. Doesn't blow your shit around. Helps with the heating bill. Maybe you already know this, but thought I'd mention it.

252 Here's the thing.

Yes I'm a fag. Yes fags are attracted to 14 year old boys. Yes I was attracted to that particular 14 year old boy. Yes I tried to force myself on that 14 year old boy.

But I only tried to force myself on that 14 year old boy because I was drunk and couldn't control myself.

Had I been sober I could have controlled my urge to force myself on that 14 year old boy. It only happened because I was drunk, not because I wanted to do it.

See? Totally not my fault I did what I wanted to do!

What?

Yes, I was drunk by choice, but it doesn't matter. Still not my fault.

That's making the gay lobby very angry because they've fought for a long time to counter the gay = pedophile idea. Then, one of the most prominent people to come out as gay pretty much uses it as an implied excuse.

Valid point.

But now the discussion widens to age of consent for male teenagers. And this discussion is taking place in a forum that only half-tongue-in-cheek expresses profound jealousy when there is a news item about a hot high school teacher banging one of her male students.

I think that it also exposes one of the fundamental flaws in homosexuality as a part of a healthy society. There are few or no emotional or psychological limits on libido amongst male teenagers, and if they are gay, that is the only sexual world to which they are exposed: one without any constraints.

And that is fvcked up.

But now, tell me, how many heterosexual men do you know who abuse boys? Any? And yet, that is what we hear, day in day out, from homosexual men who speak wistfully of their "youthful dalliances" with an older homosexual man when they were teens or younger. Because, as we all know, all those boys were so eager to have homosexual sex. It's innate, right? Not so much. Now, show me the data that explains how normal and healthy the homosexual lifestyle is, and how taking it off the list of deviant mental disorders has improved life for everyone in the Western Hemisphere. Young psyches are malleable.

I suspect it is possible for male homosexuals to recruit male teenagers who are somewhat malleable in orientation. Getting sex from girls is difficult (or used to be, at any rate), and involved a considerable amount of farting around. Getting sex from a male homosexual involved merely nodding at the appropriate moment. I can see how that would possibly influence a teenager's nascent sexuality.

Really? I don't think my 6'3" 200 lb probably sexually active senior son would have been "damaged" by a sex act with a 22 year old cheerleader coach. Were it my daughter with some older guy, probably. Men and women are different and experience the sex act differently. However, I would think being anally sodomized would be far more scarring for either sex than male/female intercourse, etc. It's more invasive than real sex.

The notion that every person must engage their sexuality at any and every opportunity is more to the point. Apparently kids get pregnant because they can't keep their panties on. And homosexual men have their insides fall out their backsides because they have the same problem. When did society determine that we are no more than our sexual urges, which must be satisfied at all times no matter the harm? It probably started before 1972, but that was certainly a watershed. Maybe it's time we relearned how to say NO.

440 My understanding from psychological studies is the boys molested by teachers do have issues later in life with trust, among other issues. It doesn't always manifest at first, but it eventually surfaces. For many, these sexual relationships with teachers are also their first love experiences, and the entaglements between the two cause problems. Yes, boys and girls have crushes on their teachers. But those things are to stay fantasies. Teachers are the adults and have the control & power not to act. I always cringe when guys say "where were those teachers in my day". It's supposed to be humorous.. Well, I've heard it hundreds of times now, the joke has lost any funny it initially had. Plus, we now know the damage caused.

They are both gay or both straight much more frequently than ordinary siblings are, but it is very far from being a 100% correlation. I've read that trauma in the womb might account for that. Normally in the case of twins one is bigger, healthier and more dominant in the womb, so any trauma might have very different effects on twins. Scientists also think that prenatal trauma might have something to do with lefthandedness. I admit to being a southpaw but that's it.

Also that if anyone EVER EVER EVER tells them to not tell your parents that's an alarm to tell right away regardless of threat. No one but no one should tell a kid that or even a college student. That you'll always be on their side. They have to know there are bad guys and pervs. That protects them more than anything else. Yet no one says this, formally. It's like they want to protect the kids from the knowlede there is evil in the world and that sets them up for a world of hurt.

But hey, the Hawaiian judges are still on the bench despite giving the finger to the SC. So why not try it. We need to just accept that the left is going to go to court on every single thing Trump does. With the judiciary full of leftists activists, they will all be able to find a sympathetic judge who will throw a stay or injunction into an order and gum up everything for months while the taxpayers fund appeals and court filings to overturn it.

489 I think it's also relevant to the link between homosexuality and pedophilia: homosexuals seem to show a moral blind spot with regards to what is appropriate for children, or what is appropriate public behavior, period. Think of the pride parades, "cottaging" in public restrooms where children may walk in, the afore mentioned Jim McGreevey having nude paintings of men adorning the ceilings of his house, to the point where his ex-wife sought sole custody of their daughter. And yet there do not seem to be any voices in the gay community raised in protest against this. In fact if anyone objects, they act as if the objector is a bigot, instead of someone calling for universal standards of behavior. You don't need statistics to observe this fact.

493 I've read that trauma in the womb might account for that. Normally in the case of twins one is bigger, healthier and more dominant in the womb, so any trauma might have very different effects on twins. Scientists also think that prenatal trauma might have something to do with lefthandedness. I admit to being a southpaw but that's it. Posted by: Donna and V. (sans ampersands at the present time) at October 30, 2017 04:43 PM (ZM2xo) I dunno about trauma. I suspect homosexuality is a developmental error occasioned by excess or deficient testosterone in utero, and/or excessive or deficient activity of testosterone receptors in the fetus. Note that this conjecture would explain the observation that many (but obviously not all) homosexuals display traits associated with the opposite sex.

I've known women who went though a brief lesbian phase in adolescence and later settled into heterosexuality and got married and had kids. I would say I've never heard of a guy who did the same, but no man would ever tell me, "I'm happily married to a woman now, but liked sucking dick occasionally when I was young." I guess that those are the guys who suddenly announce they are gay after 20 years of marriage to a woman. My guess is they had the homo feelings when young, fought it, and then either cheated on the wife while married or repressed it until they couldn't any more.

Think ancient Greece or modern Afghanistan. In contemporary gay culture, "bottoms" are as every bit as likely to molest young teens as "tops" are. Homosexual men will PAY teens to let them perform oral sex on them. They will PAY teens to screw them. Ask any vice cop. Ask any homosexual man familiar with the scene.

583 The face recognition thing - I can see it as being indicative of a "potential gay" mark. Certain epigenetic and/or genetic oddities that produce effeminance or odd proclivities with a dovetail into gayness. Are gays more likely to exhibit certain characteristics related to vulnerability or gayness in potentia than the population at large, and is grooming likely to focus on kids who seem like they have a lot of potential in that sense? And will kids with an emotional or sexual susceptibility to "being turned" respond to grooming more often? Seems likely. And, insofar as that would suggest a large boundary/potential area to the area of those "born gay", it arguably makes pederasty and pedophilia *more* troubling. The pederast identifies himself as having "helped" someone realize their sexuality, when in reality it would be more like taking someone *particularly* vulnerable and materially affecting their chance at a normal life. Some help.

587 544 It just occurred to me that Hollywood is being "Alinsky-ed." They are being forced to play by a rulebook, maybe not exactly theirs but the feminists at least. Posted by: goodluckduck at October 30, 2017 04:59 PM (yqvys) After this latest revelation, I've been trying to figure out what is going on here. I think it's a coup of sorts. Or I did, thinking it's the Grrl Power Movement trying to take over. But that wouldn't explain exposing the gays. Sure, it's male homosexuals so far, but still that's a protected group. Even if we get Grrl Power running Hollywood, the only acceptable males in any of the programming will mostly be homosexuals. I'm also reminded of something Spielberg said several years ago about how the movie business is changing big time and in the future it's going to be quite different. I don't think he was talking about outing people for this sort of stuff, but I think he was signaling that Hollywood is in trouble financially and soon wouldn't have the clout it's had for decades. A lot of it is how people are consuming media now. It's becoming normal for people to not watch cable television or go to movies. Personally, I haven't darkened the door of a theater since Cloverfield came out and I think that was 10 years ago. The thing is if it's the Lena Dunham Brigade who takes over, Hollywood will tank even faster because they'll take dreck to a whole new level. Hollywood isn't really needed anymore because any goon with a camera and some sound equipment can make a film and then distribute it themselves over the internet and through social media. It might not be that good, but most of what comes out of Hollywood isn't good now. All we can do is sit back and watch what happens...and also cut the cords and help the fire burn brighter.

612 If the people who write and produce "The Family Guy" knew abouSpacey's predilection for minor boys, then so did a lot of other people in the entertainment industry, and they all kept quiet about it while he presumably continued to molest young people. As with the Weinstein business, the story isn't the people committing the crimes, it's the people covering for the perverts by keeping quiet. A lot of big stars chose success, money, and fame over doing the right thing.

614 Eh. I've told this story before here, so I'll short-hand it. While working as a bartender in LA, about once every 2 weeks or so, we have one of those guys come in around closing time- you know the angry or sad or depressed or all three, the guy who was going to drink himself stupid, just slugging the drinks down- so being a kindly bartender you'd go over there and say something like "Rough day, huh?"- and like I say, about once every two weeks or so, the drinking his blues away guy would say- almost to a man- "I didn't want to be gay but my (insert coach, priest, step-father, uncle, teacher, etc) molested me." and that might be it or more often they'd tell you their molestation story. So, yeah, I think underage sexual molestation is a big problem in the gay community and yeah, I think it can permanently affect the victims. Scientific study? Nope. But, it sure was weird how often it happened, and how unhappy these guys were.

And ow the only way he's willing to run afoul of those is to have some kind of nsafety net to catch him when the shark-lawyers come after him for violating settlement contract.
Hence the $10 million.
