John McCain Announces Support For Hot Lesbians
— Ace

At least according to his hacked MySpace page.

That's not half as embarrassing as the real page, which just said "FREDDIE PRINZE JR. IS TEH ROXXOR!!!!111!!" repeatedly in different color fonts.

1 He might have that going for him (and that's saying a lot) but I still would'nt vote for him unless I had to.

2 What's weird are the people that show up as friends. Whoever is approving them is not doing a very good job. I mean, why would you have a shirtless guy showing off his back tattoo as one of your top friends?

Well dammit, who doesn't support hot lesbians?

Hilary! doesn't that's who! She's big on censorship and stuff, eh? V-chips?

Apparently it wasn't a hack - the McCain campaign was stealing bandwidth and the dude simply replaced the hotlinked graphic with that block of text.

I mean, c'mon. This stuff is not that difficult to do right.

Ok, you guys made me do this.

A wonderful poem (involving color)

A Color of the Sky

Windy today and I feel less than brilliant,
driving over the hills from work.
There are the dark parts on the road
when you pass through clumps of wood
and the bright spots where you have a view of the ocean,
but that doesn't make the road an allegory.

I should call Marie and apologize
for being so boring at dinner last night,
but can I really promise not to be that way again?
And anyway, I'd rather watch the trees, tossing
in what certainly looks like sexual arousal.

Otherwise it's spring, and everything looks frail;
the sky is baby blue, and the just-unfurling leaves
are full of infant chlorophyll,
the very tint of inexperience.

Last summer's song is making a comeback on the radio,
and on the highway overpass,
the only metaphysical vandal in America has written
MEMORY LOVES TIME
in big black spraypaint letters,

which makes us wonder if Time loves Memory back.

Last night I dreamed of X again.
She's like a stain on my subconscious sheets.
Years ago she penetrated me
but though I scrubbed and scrubbed and scrubbed,
I never got her out,
but now I'm glad.

What I thought was an end turned out to be a middle.
What I thought was a brick wall turned out to be a tunnel.
What I thought was an injustice
turned out to be a color of the sky.

Outside the youth center, between the liquor store
and the police station,
a little dogwood tree is losing its mind;

overflowing with blossomfoam,
like a sudsy mug of beer;
like a bride ripping off her clothes,

dropping snow white petals to the ground in clouds,

so Nature's wastefulness seems quietly obscene.
It's been doing that all week:
making beauty,
and throwing it away,
and making more.

Try and not make fun of all the sexual images. Really. Try...;-)

Frankly,

That is funny! I couldn't look at them all. Are they all appropriate for a 14 yr old? I wanted to show my son and I know he will end up looking at them all.

Concerning the hotlinking thing. I wouldn't know what a hotlink was if it bit me on the nose, and I've been around here about 3yrs. So maybe they didn't know? I know for sure that McCain didn't know. You guys don't think he or any of the candidates know the first thing about the blogosphere, do you?

Posted by: Rightwingsparkle at March 28, 2007 02:52 PM (ZLSG3)

60

Dammit, Entrails! did you break Ace's intertubes again? Now all the omments are white text again.

I would think if you were going to show him that, then the rest are probably OK. It's been a few years since I had been to his site, but I can't recall anything of a sexual nature at all - just similar type interactive stuff (frog in a blender) and various cartoons in the same vain. Looks like a LOT of new stuff, though.

Posted by: Frankly at March 28, 2007 02:58 PM (Q8tsb)

61 The frog in the blender and microwave gerbil are the classics.

Whomever volunteered to run the Myspace project for McCain must have pretended to know a modest amount of computer whats-it-called. That person is now looking like a real ðåÅƾ½¼Ãᥤ£¦!!!!

LOL!

Posted by: Max Power at March 28, 2007 03:00 PM (q177U)

63 So RWS, McCain really can't do anything wrong in your eyes, can he?

Hotlinking is stealing. It's stealing ideas and stealing bandwidth. I don't expect McCain to know what it is, but I do expect that if he's going to have a web presence, that he have the competence to hire someone who knows how to use the web.

Any other questions?
Yeah.
If i had a vasectomy 15 years ago - why is it that i have 3 children
under the age of 12? And why do they bear more than a passing
resemblance to my pool boy Pepe?

Thanks in advance.

Maybe the vasectomy didn't "take" and you should have it again?

176

Sides Mesa?

I'm more than a little hostile to professionalism. I think that what most believe to be "professionalism" is nothing of the sort. When I was at my most technical, and most disciplined, the most competant people I've worked with were the least "professional" jackasses, while simultaneously maintaining courtesy.

Many believe that "ettiquette" is a forced practice of individual social dominance, but they ignore that "professionalism" isn't.

I'm not saying that DISCIPLINE should be violated in the face of talent, but rather the stupid "professionalism" of civilian work forces, is exactly counter to real professionalism.

First requirement, Know what you are talking about, or admit the gaps in your knowledge and seek the answers that can fill those gaps, that first and foremost is the foundation of proffessionalism.

Second requirement, have the discipline to follow through on your efforts to fill those gaps, and reduce the as yet unexposed gaps.

Third requirement, Do not judge others, be they other "proffessionals" who you work with, or the "plebes" who you serve for their own ignorance, rather share your own newfound knowledge.

Fourth requirement, Do your job, and have confidence and fun while doing it, making others understand that you enjoy and have confidence in your work.

Fifth Requirement, EVERYONE deserves to be treated with respect, noone else does your job at that moment, and you don't do anyone elses job. They are better than you are in general at that task, and you are better than them in your task, but the roles can be easily exchanged.

Sixth requirement, Don't FUCKING LIE!

All of those requirements are co-equal. And I've never seen that sort of respect of co-equal competance.

(FUCK! Sorry Mesa, hope that wasn't overly pedantic, I know it was clearly pedantic, since I NEVER bullet point shit, sorry about that)

I actually liked stuck on you.

I thought that it depicted something that I'm familiar with. I have a big brother, and while neither of us need the other in our pursuit of our own lives, we both desire that the other is their for eachother, and I think stuck on you, with all it's weaknesses, made a pretty good morality play of the importance of family, specificaly brothers.

Marrion Zimmer Bradley uses this quote quite often, and it's true "bare is the back without a brother." Meaning that if there isn't someone who loves you almost as they love themselves then every man is open to attacks from every vile conspirator who wishes to weaken you.

I don't worry about my back when it is turned, because my brother will guard it.

My brother doesn't need it as much as I do, but anyone who dare offend anything important to my brother will get the IBB treatment in an instant.

Professionalism is pretty much as you described it.

However, learning how to appear to be kissing ass while not doing it and STILL getting what you want is an aquired skill.

Build everything around a goal or dream that you want, and let everyone else just become another means to your end.

I know what I want. I'll get there.

So far, I've been able to do it without stepping on anyone. However, I've reached a point that if some weenie wants to fuck with me, I won't feel too bad about knocking them down a few knotches. God knows I've tolerated my share of idiots.

Anyway, you are a smart dude. Time is your friend. When I was your age, I didn't have any plans excpet to get away from my crazy wife. Now I am just a few years away from a yacht in the caribbean. It just took a little planning and patience.

I know Mesa,

It's a bitch for me to wrap my head around. I'm VERY popular in my workplaces, with those who work with me.

In fact, I got shitcanned from a job partly because a boss didn't like everything being in my name, even though everyone else I worked with was "senior" to me, and he HATED FUCKING HATED that they would defer to me during meatings (this is not arrogance, actually all those guys were my friends, used to walk out at lunchtime and play catch) but he hated that a guy who had been with a company for about a year, had more authority over his employees than he did.

He never understood that I didn't have "authority" I had "respect" BIG FUCKING DIFFERENCE!

There are people with authority without respect, but they all fall in the face of people who have respect, despite the lack of authority.

185

However, learning how to appear to be kissing ass while not doing it and STILL getting what you want is an aquired skill.

I agree and disagree Mesa.

The key to being a "good little employee" while maitaining your own self worth, doesn't require much. I was actually startled at how my bosses would react when I would call them "sir" or "ma'am" they aren't used to that. Simple courtesy, and common colloquial acknowledgement (sir and ma'am) is generaly enough. The acknowledgement of their instructions "I need you to do this!" no matter their attitude, NEVER raise your voice, never whine, never hem and haw, simple respond in the definative. "absolutely" "without a doubt" "certainly" "aye aye" (aye aye is semi-sarcastic but only sells with those with significant military service)

When you say something other than "I know" or "of course" or whatever, you are minimizing the instruction.

Always respond to an instruction with an immediate and absolute dedication to that instruction.

(oddly enough I learned that in the brigg from a muslim who was in for attempted murder, I don't think he knew he showed me that, but I learned it, because he wanted every day of cut time he could get because he had a baby daughter that he wanted to spend time with.. . . honestly? most pathetic thing I've ever seen, a man, who was in prison before his daughter was born, spending every sunday reaching across a table for at least 4 1/2 years, to hold the hand of the daughter his young retarded ass ignored and got sent to prison for)

Respect is good, a bad boss is always going to feel undermined by someone who knows how to earn it. Because he expects it and can't figure out what he's not doing right. Tone it down and be more of a friend to your co-workers than an example. Same rules in the MC, can't overstep rank.

Wickedpinto is a colloquialy cohesive noun, and when used as the subject noun it should be capitalized, because wickedpinto, is an in effect proper noun for my own identity just like your moniker of mesablue, is an in fact proper noun, which requires initial capitalization!

Wheres Goddess when we need her. She might need to stop this playground brawl of grammar.

Was messin with you WP cause everyone does that.

It's a nick. It could be mEsAbLuE and on any game, people would get it right.

I can't tell you how many times I stopped myself from typing WickedPinto just to respect your nick.

Just messing around.

If I mess with someone, it's because I like them. Everyone else I just tell to go fuck themselves.

Works for me so far.

Bastard. I'm hungry and trying not to hit White Castle. I've been working out almost every day for about three hours and get hungry late at night. First rugby match of the year is Saturday and I'm getting old -- need to keep ahead of the young guys.

Anyway.

Jeez... comments in the 200's, after 3am EDT, topics all over God's green earth - almost makes me wish the damn comments thingy were still F'd up.

Pepe,

It's impossible to say, I've actually been around for about 2 1/2 years, but but I didn't have the balls to really move until about a year and a half ago.

I think Mesa has been around for about the same time, but he was more timid than I. Some have been with ace since deap into his blogger days.

We don't really know eachother, we just recognize eachother, and the day of recognition is generaly months after first introduction.

Who knows pepe, that is my acethropology of what I know of the acetheropological comments research. Does it matter? have you ever been better friends with someone you only knew for 2 years, rather than the guy you knew for 20?

I wouldn't say "friends" but the "community" doesn't care, we remember eachothers best of's, as best we can, kiss eachothers asses, and then shit on eachother

Though never piss off the hunchback defensive tackle who loves kitty's.

Arghh! That's what I get for being a smartass & replying to Amish in his 'poolboy' post as Pepe. sorry 'bout that.

I've been hanging out here for a year or so, but just recently started posting. To be honest (can I be Frankly with you?), many of the regulars here are obviously better educated than I am, but I certainly learn a few things at the same time I get entertained. I really enjoy the comraderie & bantering, & hopefully will fit in somewhere. On the more serious subjects, seems as though if one has an intelligent opinion (or not) most are willing to debate in a decent manner - I like that.

Oh - and it's hard NOT to notice who the heavy hitters are after just a short time. It was rather amusing to see how intelligent you actually (obviously) were all of a sudden after weeks of reading your more, um, inane(?) remaks.

My question about that is: where are the lightning bolts?

I have to agree 100% with frankly.

I'm a borderline retard, my education, as a verifiable batch of paper from educational institutions is useless, I read, mostly dork stuff, so I can take part, and sometimes I have an opinion.

Aces, is the kinda like the social aunt's house who all the family visits, and everyone learns a little bit from.

See some "artists" dip a holy symbol they don't care about into piss.

I however? create a narrative that is quite fucking conflictory to simple elitist norms.

I'm in fact an amateur, Wiser, is a genius, as is KC when she gets motivated, and don't get me started on Bodacious, JESUS she crosses lines that make me uncomfortable.

But re-reading the fart pillow thing? That is like the jaborwocky of farcical poetic effort, drawing others into the "scene". Easy, and simple, leading others into roald dahlian concepts of broad valour.

I'm AT BEST and not even close to, a jaberwock.

Fuck, but thats funny shit.

207

...my education, is a verifiable batch of paper...

That's what I meant by "better educated" BTW. (I know the "retard" comment was a joke, too, but sometimes you work hard to prove otherwise.)

I don't necessarily respect someone simply because of a college degree, because I'll out Mensa the average Joe any day of the week, but sometimes I have to stop reading here & go reasearch a topic that's being discussed just to understand everything. Guess that's a good thing, though.

My point was that it's sometimes obvious when some is college (or collage) educated simply by their posts, and sometimes it gets mentioned in conversation. I'm smart, but not educated, ya know? I can't help but wonder how many of the commenters here are blue collar vs. highly paid lawyers, very smart military bloggers, etc.

Oh yeah - how does one know when it's OK to call Laura a hunchback or Rosetta a manlygirl or wickedpinto a twisted SOB?

Posted by: Frankly at March 28, 2007 11:37 PM (Q8tsb)

208

Frankly, I won't waste a second to shit on you in a jocular context, so I guess that answers your WP question.

LauraW is different, best to start with her affinity for kitty pictures, and then build, As for Ace? go all out, and stand ready to appologize in case you went to far, he is the boss.

But all of those questions are simple.

Now bashing fellow commentors is different. I most def don't have the feel for that either, I'm not an "old player" I'm at best a Mid Member. I'm lucky cuz I'm a sox fan, as in WHITE SOX! and many others are as well, and I'm reasonably crazy.

Just be the rotten prick that you are"frankly" and learn when you are wrong. I mean really. I still comment here. ain't like ace is intollerant.

I havent tested for shit in about 15 years, I never took SAT's, prolly would have been humbling to tell the truth (based on the format) but my ACT's were 31, and my AFQT was 98.

Theres a lot of NON educated people who had all the ability.

It's a travesty.

I wouldn't have thought twice about raggin' you and a few others, based on the sense of humor & the back and forth that I see, but I often hesitate to toss out a line that I think is funny. You didn't know me from Adam (or Pepe for that matter) 'til today, but that wouldn't have stopped me. Others? Eh, I don't want to cross a line & look like more of an ass than I already am.

and Ace isn't nearly as disinterested as chuck., thats an unfair comparison.

And you are right frankly, I'm not "respected" but I am given the option, on occasion of being "considered."

Thats enough for me.

Think of your real life, how often is that option offered to you?

Still though it would be fun (for me) if you just reset the tags so it didn't carry over and you could still screw with the name.

I don't know what in the hell the AFQT is, but a 31 on the ACT is fantastic. As a ferinstance, the smart, hard-working Korean kid from the snooty academically excellent private high school I went to who was class valedictorian and went to Harvard and is now an MD -- he got a 31 on the ACT.

/O' course, I somehow managed a 32. I beat the smart kids, I beat the smart kids!

225 All this sounds like the same old rhetoric, sure we'd all like to promote hot lesbians, but what has McCain really done besides talk about the issue? I would like to challenge his campaign to come up with some concrete policy recommendations. Tax cuts for tanga and boy short panties manufacturers. Statutory protection for public girl-on-girl kissing. Let's establish a joint program with top scientists and private industry to develop a workout program for college women that assures a tight midriff.
The time for talk is over, we need concrete action. We all have to work together to assure a future in which hot lesbians frequently sit on the laps of men and make out.

229 Pinto, a 31? I'm thinking thats like a 1350-1400 range equivalent. You sure on that? I'd be thinking you'd have gone to a pretty good college with very good grant money on that score. I scored a 27, which was about 1200, course I only scored 1010 on my SATs, but our school system used the same testing program as ACT so I was better with it.

Sinistar,

Uhh...This is how I defend it.

Absolutely not so, according to McCain. In a statement released by his campaign, McCain said, “As I said in 2001, I never considered leaving the Republican Party, period.”

You see, it's NOT TRUE. But I guess you would rather believe Tom Dashle for God sake instead of Republicans like Lindsey Graham.

Hmm.. I wonder why a story like this would get out now. Let's think. Oh yeah. The Democrats don't want John McCain to get the nomination because they know he can beat Hillary.

I love you guys, but you seriously need to get over your hissy fit with McCain.

RWS -

I, and all the evil neocons I know [well, from teh intarweb, anyway], absolutely cannot fcuking stand John McCain.

I've even heard a guy say [okay, seen a guy post, actually] that he sooner vote for Hillary! than McCain.

Me, a 9/12er registered Democrat, might even follow that logic. 'Cause when Hillary! got elected to the Senate, a long-time (flesh and blood, even!) conservative friend of mine professed not to be too terribly upset about her win. His point was: what has she actually accomplished during her time in office? Pretty much nothing. If she's got an agenda you don't like, but can't get anything done, then she can't really hurt too much.

McCain (Mr. Campaign Finance Reform Who Gives A Crap About The First Ammendment Right To Freedom Of Political Speech?), on the other hand, might actually be able to achieve some of his crappy objectives.

That's how this line of reasoning goes.

Posted by: Lewis at March 29, 2007 10:57 AM (KM2jk)

232 Unlike RWS, I'm not a McCain fan. But she's definitely right
about something: regular Americans (i.e. people who aren't regularly
posting here) tend to really like him for some reason. Some of my
Democrat friends have told me that given a choice between McCain and
Hillary Clinton, they'd vote for McCain.

Having said that, though, I think we can do better and still win.

Yes Sinistar,

Yes, I remember that, because a friend of mine in highschool went to an engineering school, and failed out (not dropped out, failed out) and he had a 26 and was kinda proud of it, because he was so "underrated" as a kid (which isn't true, he was treated like a dork, not underrated, he was a dork, big difference) and Yes, I'm possitive my ACT's were 31.

He attended Purdue for engineering, was accepted into (I forget the frat) because of his educational "accomplishments" in highschool ( I wanna say kappa sigma) but he was such a social retard that he destroyed his first attempt at college. He tried to warn me off of taking the ACT's rather than the SAT's cuz, I think he said "one point can move you out of your college" or some shit. (I was(in fact am, duh) a highschool "dropout" and he was actually trying to get me to take the SAT's and hope for 1K so that I can qual for any regional satellite and then progress to the home university)

I gave him the letter to open, cuz I knew I did well.

It's kinda like a dan rather situation.

I'm "bright, but retarded"

Posted by: Wickedpinto at March 29, 2007 07:22 PM (QTv8u)

234

And the only reason I never took the SAT's is cuz I was always suspended during the free testing my highschool offered, and then I was expelled, and never returned, and I couldn't get a discount on college enterance tests until after I got my GED (in fact my GED score was high enough that I could take all the SAT's and ACT's I wanted on the states fund, I got an "einstein" award (no shit, being in the top 3 of the state for a year in GED testing gets you an "einstein" award? Really? Einstein and GED? I still find that kinda funny) anyways, all college entrance tests were payed for by the state, because of my "einstein" award.) and I only got my GED about 4 weeks before the semester started, I scheduled my act's before my ged, because there was no SAT testing that close to enrollment.

I was juggling 3 educational balls. Bitch is I learned within about a week that I hated the peole I attended that sattelite of purdue with. How fucking holier than though. I didn't talk to them, I was an engineering student, I don't need to talk to my fellow student, I need to learn from my professor, and I realized I didn't want anything to do with these fucks, and I didn't know how to keep my mouth shut, so I dropped out mid finals in my second semester and joined the Marine Corps with something like 22 credits. I don't remember those days well. But I remember what pissed me off.

And the fact that I left them, and I became a Marine, a GEEK Marine, but I think I got the better part of the bargain.
