— Ace

I guess maybe this is a tax too.

“We just learned that ATF senior management placed two of the main whistleblowers who have testified before Congress about Fast and Furious under the supervision of someone who vowed to retaliate against them,” they wrote before describing how senior political figures have made dangerous threats before.

Grassley and Issa said that in early 2011, right around the time Grassley first made public the whistleblowers’ allegations about Fast and Furious, Scot Thomasson – then the chief of the ATF’s Public Affairs Division – said, according to an eyewitness account: “We need to get whatever dirt we can on these guys [the whistleblowers] and take them down.”

Thomasson also allegedly said that: “All these whistleblowers have axes to grind. ATF needs to f—k these guys.”

Issa and Grassley want to know if Thomasson has been admonished. But that's probably executive privilege information, too.

From JammieWearingFool. He's got a story about Democrats donating to cover the costs of Obama events-- anonymously.

The details that Issa put into the Congressional Record can be found

A lot of people are feeling pretty ragged. You want to know why the left hated Palin so much? She was rallying people together. She was energizing them. So they had to destroy her life, attack her family, burn down her freaking church, abuse the law, harass her and move in next door to her - because she was what we actually need. She may not be able to reclaim that role, but somebody has to. We're too much of a herd of cats otherwise. Tired cats. Those of you who do seem to have limitless energy need to keep working to make it easier for others to participate. Community Organizing and those creepy Obama Dinner Married To You ads have so far been put to destructive purposes, but some of the core ideas are quite functional. 105 I got moderately activated in 2010, making phone calls for my Congressman. This time, I am working full-time to get my guy elected. Which, by the way, is not as fun as being an Internet Conservative... But it is more likely to do something. I think. Maybe we're already in Venezuela and headed for Cuba. Those friggin kangaroos on Scotus need to be gone now. I am apoplectic about this shit, and it's pouring out of every orifice of government. My candidate threw out a press release yesterday that wasn't a controlled, measured, calculated political message but rather an expression of anger and a call to arms. We were very concerned that it might end his career. But guess what? It worked. People have poured out f the woodwork to work for him and throw down some jack. Even though I say things like that message he sent everyday, I was trepidatious about the messaging. But people are ready to hear it be told like we would want it to be told, even here in MA.

1. Guy whose nephew enlisted in the Navy.  He thinks he will go for 20 years,  because he doesn't want to get out and flip burgers.  I commented that it was wise because of the lack of jobs.  He went into an absolute tirade about illegal aliens and the Obama Dream Act.

2.  Couple I ran into on Friday,  when I picked up my auction purchases.  They make extra money by going to garage sales and buying things and then bringing it to auction house to sell.  They are fed up with schools and will home school next year. They blame Obama for the school mess.

3. Auctioneer is beside himself with the insurance stuff and the decision.  Not happy at all.  Definite Romney vote.

Looking hard at western Australia.  Port Hedland area to be specific.  Its away from any of the big cities, at the edge of a desert, and the local economy is booming.  Its a little warmer than FL in the summers, but there's little rain, so the humidity shouldn't be as bad, winters should be pleasant.

138 The thing that scares me the most is the apathy. Not here, but I feel like I can almost touch it in my everyday surroundings. It seems to be pervasive. I think our domestic enemies (and that is what they truly are) are banking heavily on this phenomenon. They have fostered and nurtured it for decades and it is now paying huge dividends. I love the notion of an energizing, vulcanizing force but like others here, I'm not sure where that's going to be given birth to, if at all. Having said that, I am NOT going to give up. If I let these vermin get the best of me in the end, my life will have amounted to squat. Onwards to November...

139 `ISI behind Afghan Taliban attacks on US bases` Washington: Referring to the recent spate of attacks on US military bases in Afghanistan, Western analysts have warned that the attacks serve as growing evidence that Pakistani Intelligence agency (ISI) is stepping up its support of insurgent groups ahead of the scheduled 2014 departure of US combat troops from the country. The attacks point to a resilient Taliban with a steady supply of arms, apparently being supplied from Pakistan, and one that US troops, try as they might, are proving unable to interrupt, reports the Christian Science Monitor....

There's a lot of room for the place to grow in the future too.  Only about 22M people total, and the bulk of those are concentrated near the big cities.  Find a place like Port Hedland, and the craziness of the cities is gonna be far away for a long time.

The Zero Hedge guy has a great essay about all of this.  I think people don't realize what they are losing cause it is being portrayed as something noble and honest.  They don't realize they will be taxed up the wazoo.  They've said to me, "don't worry, when they find problems with it, Barack will fix it"....they truly truly truly in their heart of hearts believe that.

That's why I keep saying "we need to educate people".....they are the product of the liberal professors and teachers education system, they've been brain washed into the liberal theology of public schools.....

207 It really is amazing how delusional the left is about Obamatax.

A lesbian, pagan, left-libertarian friend of mine was saying yesterday how wonderful it was. She also supported the SCOAMT forcing the Catholic Church to violate a 2000-year-old teaching as a condition of operating hospitals and charities.

I asked her if as a leftist she was comfortable giving the government that kind of power. She said that since health care for all was a good thing, it was okay that the government was forcing people to do it. I mentioned that the whole "We have to break some eggs to make an omelet" thing has never worked out well in the past. I also mentioned that the next government usurpation of liberty may not come from a liberal, and how we should like the government forcing pagans to violate their beliefs? She simply replied that some people will always be pissed off at the government, and she's glad "the needy" are now getting their at the expense of "the greedy."

All of these people will live to see the power they've happily handed over to the state used against them. That's how it always works. Sad, really.

257 Sometimes I think we may be saved by immigrants.

The Democrats think Hispanics are their salvation, but if the Republic does survive by some miracle, they're a demographic time bomb that will blow up in a lot of progressive cause's faces long term.

259 258.
Healthcare is a "RIGHT"? How the Fu*K can they get there from here?
Doesn't that make health-care providers 'SLAVES'?
To have to provide their services and supplies for free at the behest of the government?
I really don't think we're gonna be able to get that far. The left thinks we are, but they have not thought it through, obviously...

260 No, I doubt that he has been 'admonished.'  Rather, he has been put in charge of the people he publicly threatened using language that would have made Serpico paranoid.

Because what, the DoJ wants these whistleblowers dead and figures no one will notice when it happens?!

261 I wish you the best of luck if you do, though. May you escape the gaze of the Panopticon.

262 Because this is still the one country in the world where there is a significant number of people who really care about liberty. Because even as it is taken from us, even if we lose, there are a whole lot of us who will go down kicking and screaming. ---- Not enough to make a difference, obviously. And while I genuinely appreciate Irongrandpa's sentiment and applaud him for it, there is simply not enough of his neighbors to make a fucking difference. There is not enough of your neighbors and not enough of my neighbors to ever get this country back to the way it was. You all fucking know it's true.

264 To have to provide their services and supplies for free at the behest of the government?

Someone's gonna have to take one for the team, right?

People will smarten up and realize they can't get comfortably wealthy in the medical business any more, and medical school applications will plummet.  If you can't recover the cost of the education in a reasonable time, its no longer a viable professional choice.

266 #258: You are correct, of course, NightHawk. I'm just trying to think of a single word I can throw back when one of my liberal acquaintances talks about Obamacare making healthcare a "right".

I've been pondering the matter today. My thinking's been along the lines of, "You know those eeeevil insurance companies you hate so much? They now OWN your ass. Obama has given you to them."

I need to think some more.

267 Because what, the DoJ wants these whistleblowers dead and figures no one will notice when it happens?!

Two agents dead, and hundreds of Mexicans and the left is still denying its a big deal.  I'd say its a 50/50 bet that they can get away with it.  A fatal home invasion, a fatal "random" mugging, etc.  This administration has demonstrated it has no problem murdering people for purely political reasons.

268 My younger brother, who is lefty to the bone, is not so happy with the ruling. He was hoping that it would be struck down, and thus rile up the Dem base.. They'd then crush Romney, take back the House, and come back with....single payer. As it is, he thinks the current law can be tweaked to work better.

I love him but it's hard not to strangle him sometimes.

269 Purp,
Amen,
If it becomes a no-return sweat-shop business, where are the new docs and nurses going to come-from? The DRAFT? I don't fuc*in' think so.
It will be 'interesting' to see how this works out.
Fortunately, I'm old, so I will only have to see the beginning of the end.
I hope my country can come back, but I'm not gonna hold my breath until after the election. Then, we'll see...

I'm not giving up on this country...the stupid is wide, but it seems to run pretty shallow.  We'll make it through this.

Posted by: model_1066 at June 29, 2012 05:31 PM (PWwbk)

271 Back to the whistleblowers...seriously, some of the people here have to be LEO, or former LEO, or at least know someone in law enforcement.  What the hell would you think if your supervisor said that your department needed to 'f*ck you up' and 'take you down'?

Because I'm thinking anyone hearing that would be fully aware that they needed to be wearing full bomb squad gear over their Kevlar bodysuit at all times.

272 You all fucking know it's true. Posted by: Joffen, fucking sunshine patriot at June 29, 2012 10:24 PM (caAEA) Wrong. For every 9/12 project there is a Freedomworks group or tea party chapter. You probably don't see it but every major metropolitan area has at least 5 sportsman's clubs. If you don't belong to one yet seek one out. Good family fun and all 2nd Amendment warriors. Then there are the countless 501c3s out there battling for issues like election integrity and tax sanity. I have 5 friends in this arena, busting their humps every day to fight the liberal agenda. Channel some of that passion into a cause Joffen and you will greatly benefit our side.

275 Joffen,
It's WAY to early to fade. The party is just getting started. We've lost nothing at this point and people are energized for this fight! The election is not until November and there is a lot of shit in play. The MFM may actually have to report some of this shit. Just keep-on keepin'-on until the election.

After all, "Was it over when the Germans bomber Pearl Harbor? No! It's not over until we say it's over!"

276 288, I like to bring up the seemingly forgotten fact that the Dems not only explicitly exempted themselves from the law, Obama has granted hundreds of waivers to his connected buddies. I especially enjoy the reactions of the several unemployed trade union guys that I know. Their "leaders" are exempt, but the unemployed rank-and-file are not.

You can also toss in the fact that on top of the ZeroCare tax increase, Obama has vowed to let the Bush tax rates expire. That means an increase on everybody, right down to the burger-flippers. While is difficult to get a Dem to understand math, sometimes you can get lucky.

284 I too am pissed off. I'm disappointed in the Supreme Court decision. But yesterday I met Ted Cruz (and incidentally his father Raphael). Ted Cruz is the real deal. He deserves the support of every patriot. His opponent, David Dewhuchison, has more money than Croesus and the support of every rino in America. I am not much on being the guy on stage, but I put my body between Ted Cruz and any potential physical threat yesterday. If I can do that, I can muster the courage to fight for America, too. I can at least do that.
