1 Well.... It is candid.

2 I'm afraid this goes into my bulging "who gives a shit about the British royal family?" file.

3 Eh. It's press-bashing. That should warm your heart.

4 Yeah, tough life having to interrupt your luxury ski vacation -- paid for by income generated by British taxpayers -- to post for a few pictures.

What a wanker.

Anybody who calls the MSM bloody people is a hero in my book.

I am nominating him for the Nobel Peace Prize for his service to humanity in correctly labeling the MSM for the jerks they are.

I get tired of the paparazzi following me around. You would too.

7 The above anonymous poster quotes lines attributed to Charles James Fox, the Whig Leader of the Opposition at the time and a figure of rightfully mixed historical repute at best. Yes, he was among the most prominent early abolitionists, but he was also a militant supporter of even the worst excesses of that mother of all modern totalitarianism, the French Revolution.

"...tough life having to interrupt your luxury ski vacation -- paid for by income generated by British taxpayers..."

Charles's income is entirely from investments held by the Duchy of Cornwall, not from the Civil List (i.e., tax revenues).

8 Well it's true, Prince Bigears does let loose with a good one every now and then. I like to think it's some vestige of humanity under all the -- all the Arab-lovin'. Then again, he did have to put up with Diana, Saint of the Sobsisters, for all those years. (Forgive me, but every fukkin' female in Miami except me who had hair one shade lighter than charcoal ran out and got that godawful Diana cut back in the 80s -- it was like being in one of those scifi movies where everyone's a clone.)

9 Yes, I never really got the Diana thing - too young, maybe (I was about 2 when they married so I have no memory of being transfixed by a Fairy Tale Wedding on TV). By the time I was old enough to be aware of such things her main occupation seemed to be appearing on every other cover of People magazine with speculation about eating disorders, divorce, etc. The haircut didn't do her any favours, either. But I digress.

I think this is just funny. What do you want to bet the tabloids will demand a cringing apology and self-abasement along the lines of someone who's just been caught with five bodies in his closet than just said he hates the press?

10 It wasn't a fairy tale wedding to me. It was boring and long and I would rather have crawled across broken glass with a double decker bus strapped to my back than go through something like that. I never thought anything would be even longer and more boring than the Watergate hearings. Which. Were. Incredibly. Boring. I think that's the real reason so many people turned against Nixon -- the draining suck that were the interminable, ice-age-long Watergate hearings.

God they were boring. The seventies sucked ass.

What was the subject?

11 it was a joke Dave
but the truth remains... that we fought 2 wars to get away from the greedy paws of the world's most obscene waste of welfare money.

Posted by: at March 31, 2005 06:36 PM (x0C8F)

12 Even at the time, I doubt they were the world's most obscene waste of welfate money. Today they are way, way down the list. Not so much because they've improved...

13 whatever...we still *hate these bloody people*

14 i think the russians had the right idea when it comes to royal families........not about much else like......but on that one ,spot on

15 Anonymous poster, I know it was a joke, but I still thought I should provide some context.

Sodajerk, the right idea? Shooting a bunch of unarmed prisoners in a basement, then stabbing the girls with bayonets because the bullets hadn't penetrated their corsets? Nicholas II and his children hardly deserved that fate merely because his wife was a power-mad religious nut.
