Hillary Clinton, The Walking (?) National Security Disaster Area
— Ace

In this awful woman's quest to hide things from the American public and congressional overseers, who should have access to her emails, she shared it all with foreign intelligence services, who should not.

The U.S. intelligence community is bracing for the possibility that former Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton's private email account contains hundreds of revelations of classified information from spy agencies and is taking steps to contain any damage to national security, according to documents and interviews Thursday.

The top lawmakers on the House and Senate intelligence committee have been notified in recent days that the extent of classified information on Mrs. Clinton’s private email server was likely far more extensive than the four emails publicly acknowledged last week as containing some sensitive spy agency secrets.

A U.S. official directly familiar with the notification, who spoke only on the condition of anonymity, said the notification of possibly hundreds of additional emails with classified secrets came from the State Department Freedom of Information Act office to the Office of Inspector General for the Director of National Intelligence.

Quick, let's make her president so she can do even more damage.

Hillary Clinton Letter to the New York Times: "I Am Not a Crook." Hillary is fuming that the NYT reported the Inspector Generals sought a "criminal" referral, when, apparently, they didn't mention the word "criminal."

So Hillary wants you to know -- per the current posture of the Inspectors General, her illegal email system merely has the appearance of criminality. It's not officially criminal.

Yet.

10 The intelligence community should have been making plans to protect themselves from Hillary! even before she was appointed to Secretary of State. If they are only just now (days ago) beginning to protect themselves, then it is too late, that horse has already left the barn, circled the track, jumped the fence and is canoodling with mares three counties away. define 'protect themselves' meaning hide the stuff the people won't like reading about, and crafting excuses and plans to redirect public outrage to some other hapless bureaucrat. Now as to the problem of DoD and the Intelligence community protecting themselves from Obama....sorry can't help you there.

Because the boiler plate intelligence reports are most likely just that -- maybe some useful tidbits for foreign intelligence agencies, but probably just rehashing of the same info they have. it's the criminal side dealings that can be used to blackmail Hillary! should she become president that are more worrisome.

I guarantee you that all government IT systems are scarily unsecure and easily hacked. I have some experience with technology sales and governments, and I can tell you that the bigger the government bureaucracy, the less secure their data is, and the farther they are away from "best practices" and "industry standards." In other words, my Chase Bank online banking is most likely 100 times more secure then anything sitting on any servers in DC (outside of NSA and other intelligence agencies, presumably, but I wouldn't bet the farm on that either.)

Look at Bill. As President, gets a beej from an intern in the Oval Office, and nevertheless brazens it out. Even the residents of his former trailer park must be embarrassed.

106 Clinton is brazen in her disregard for the law as the Clinton Criminal Enterprise has gotten away with a hell of a lot and why not now? Remember Clinton's former Security Advisor Sandy Burglar stuffing classified docs down his pants? Slap on the hand. She is not liked, incompetent, and a brazen liar whose day may have finally come. The devil always overplays her hand.

Posted by: Cheri at July 31, 2015 08:00 AM (oiNtH)

107 Sooner or later someone needs to ask her why.  A very simple question really.  Why did she do it, why use a personal non secure non governmental server for all of her email while she was SOS?

And no B$ about it being convenient so she can use only one device, that is a non-answer as there are multiple videos of her admitting to using multiple devices.  She needs to be put on the spot and asked why because there is no way in heck that a Secretary of State can communicate for nearly four years without handling one single piece of classified email.  It simply is not possible and everyone should know that.

I suspect the only way this is going to come to a real solution is during debates.  If not the Dem debate, it will come out in the General ones.

Like trying to steer business contracts in Libya to her cronies via Sid Blumenthol before Qadaffi was even ousted. I'm sure that barely scratches the surface of her corruption. 132 Its interesting that her massive corruption and incompetence is actually getting so much media attention. Not as much as it should, but still; attention. Maybe they figure its early enough that they can get it all out of the way and then claim they covered it when the actual election starts up. People forget pretty quickly in the modern culture. Hey, Jay might just have pointed out a bizarre *mitigating* consideration here.

Blackmail leverage might not even exist in Hillary's case.  The country is so degraded, the talentless criminal disastrous Clintons have such impunity WRT their disasters and scandals, that a foreign power might *not* find they have any leverage when trying to use stolen info against her.

THAT is how bad things are.

Oh - but that doesn't affect the sources ampersand methods aspect of her security calamity.

Then again, since the "warrantless" wiretaps and SWIFT leaks under Bush, and the lack of resignations or prosecutions, the "intelligence community" hasn't really enjoyed the presumption of competence, loyalty, or seriousness either on this topic.  So who cares?

Somebody (I think it was Steyn) once wrote a piece calling attention to how the Clinton crowd issues denials, and it's usually like this

Q: There's been concern about Hillary storing classified information on her personal e-mail server...

A: There is no evidence whatsoever that Mrs. Clinton did anything illegal.

Note that the answer doesn't deny the existence of wrongdoing on Clinton's part, just that there's no evidence for it.

So the answer is true.

184 What we need is the flipside to all the bribery crap that's coming out now. For example, if the Swiss Bank 'coincidentally' donated bucketloads of payola to the Clinton Family Foundation and got favors 'at the same time', well that shows corruption, sure.... .....but now we need to see how her server was intercepted and 'coincidentally' pressure was taken off a nation, or more foreign aid got shook loose, or some atrocity went unmentioned even in the press. Because blackmail. And, obviously, any blackmail can be ongoing even if she does get elected president.

188 The October Surprise in 2016 is that Hillary will come out as gay. Seriously. People who were going to vote for people will vote for her regardless if she comes out as gay. I know someone who was a Hillary supporter in 2008. She's cooled to her now and Hillary suddenly deciding to come out as gay after being married 30 plus years to Bill and having every opportunity to come out before this-will not get her to the polls for Hillary. For Lizzie Warren-yes. For Hillary no.

189 The October Surprise in 2016 is that Hillary will come out as gay. Seriously. I expect this to happen, but not until her reelection campaign. And a divorce from Bill, assuming he survives that long, in her second term. And God forbid, should she become President, isn't it apparent that she could be easily blackmailed by foreign powers or by hackers. As others have pointed out, what on earth are they going to blackmail her for that's worse than what we already know? Anybody else would be in federal prison for 18 consecutive life terms and a byword for corruption and venality. She's a serious candidate for president.

218 The October Surprise in 2016 is that Hillary will come out as gay. Seriously This will not happen, because Hillary (and the press), while they think this would be awesome (the press, anyway), have a very poor opinion of the American voter. Identity politics worked for Obama because there was a large core of voters who would vote based solely on racial identity, especially combined with standard partisanship (that is, a black Republican would have benefitted too, but not nearly as much). The media knows, even though they never report it, that the core of actual gay voters is very small. And since they also think the average voter is too stupid and racist to vote based just on the awesomeness that is Hillary Clinton, she's not going to come out as gay before the election.

That won't work second time around though, its old hat. She'll need something new; hence the second term "I'm a dyke" 'revelation.' And the divorce from Bill. The big wrench in the works is her health though. She's not in good shape, and she's already suffered one stroke. If she makes it healthy to November next year, I'll actually be surprised. Should something happens to her health, we all know how that plays out. Never mind that neither has the character, competence, experience or allegiance to the nation for the job. Never mind that both are out-and-out felons, and should, if not for their media (and political) stooges, have rap sheets of a length that would embarrass Al Capone.

Republicans -- some of them -- aren't immune. I get nervous as hell when I hear people extolling Cruz/Jindal or Rubio/Carson because diversity!!11!! That's a fatal no-no, no matter who's doing it.

Insurance doesn't cover it, neither does the federal government. You could walk in to PP tomorrow and get free birth control. But try to get a free abortion. Not happening. $500 for first trimester, and up to $1500 depending on how late term the abortion is. (probably even more for illegal 3rd trimester abortions, but that price list isnt posted anywhere). Also, apparently, they've now monetized the corpses of the dead babies as well. So good for them. Lots of cash flow without donors or government, I think they'll survive on the baby murder business plan without any help from anyone else.

296 Just speculating here. Posted by: Muldoon at July 31, 2015 01:49 PM (NeFrd) Yeah. Gosnell taught us that no one verifies "fetal age" and that the ultrasounds (the way the Doctor is supposed to 'verify') are very easy to fake. Change the angle and hold it off the skin a little bit, and BAM, the "fetal cranial distance" or whatever is smaller and the "fetus" is at 23.5 weeks, so it's right under the legal limit. Put the ultrasound probe closer and directly over the fetus, and its 32 weeks. So you don't do it that way. And if you fuck it up, and it's 32 weeks -- well, just keep trying until you get it under 24 weeks (or whatever legal limit is in particular state -- 24 is most common).

330 @289 - once again, PP had nothing to do with the CA court ruling, that was all on StemExpress. It does not embargo any other videos, only one involving a conversation with StemExpress execs. There's two issues at work here, and StemExpress DOES have a case even if there's a question over the prior restraint aspect. The shell company CMP formed signed a nondisclosure with StemExpress, and this may come down to whether the discussion involved trade secrets or other material whose release would be injurious to StemExpress. I think we know the answer to that question, in a reputational sense, but the legal question may be narrower. Also CA is a 'two-party' state regarding recording of private conversations and the conversation took place at a restaurant that CMP I'm sure would like to claim is a public venue, and StemExpress would like to claim is private.

I don't see how anyone with a functioning soul would need any more than what's been in the previous ones. That only leads me to conclude that they go down some other vector. There's got to be something that would be outrageous to those who aren't already inclined to be outraged. Racism? Sexism? Other than that, the only thing I could think of was direct evidence of illegal activity incriminating prominent public officials.

Pollard was jailed for revealing less sensitive information (that did no damage to America) to a more trusted ally. On the other hand, Barky has publicly released more sensitive information to the public, at large - including secrets of our allies (such as the size of Britain's nuke arsenal). But ... that's what happens when America elects an obvious America-hating traitor (and retard) and the Vichy GOP allows him to commit crime after crime in office and make a mockery of our Constitution. Shrillary doesn't really add up to much more than the dog Barky ate.

1) she sounded like a hick so people thought 'white trash'
2) She was too hot. Women jealous like nobody's business."

Around here I personally observed one demographic who UTTERLY LOATHED Palin.

Those would be liberal yuppie career women who had bought the line about "having it all" by postponing children for career, and then had found to their regret later, when they wanted kids, that their biology would no longer permit it, or that the pool of what they considered marriageable husbands had shrunk to zero.

Palin then presents herself with a batch of healthy kids, and a hot hunk of a husband, and the career success thrown in. She got everything they had wanted but hadn't attained.

392 From Wiki: "France, Germany, Italy, and the UK used barrage balloons in WWI. Sometimes, especially around London, several balloons were used to lift a length of "barrage net", in which a steel cable was strung between the balloons and many more cables hung from it. These nets could be raised to an altitude comparable to the operational ceiling of the bombers of the day. By 1918 the barrage defences around London stretched for 50 miles, and captured German pilots expressed great fear of them.[2[/i]"

Bush lied to the world and to all persons of color and persons of some color. Everything is messed up  because the Bush/Chainey policies and we should change that Constitution thing written by all persons of no color that hurts persons of color without any input by persons of color or persons of some color to help protect themselves from persons of no color from Europe whom obviouslly hated persons of color from Africa by capturing them and throwing them on a boat to southern states like Texas to pick tobacco and cotten to sent to persons of no color back in Europe. 421 I don't see anyone disagreeing that some women were jealous of Palin's looks. Neither do i see any women saying that Palin lost a lot of votes from Republicans because she was hot. The point is again, leftist women- attractive or not- wouldn't have voted for the Republican ticket-whatever she looked like. I know people who knew almost nothing about Obama aside from the fact that he was a Republican but voted for him because-as Lizzy noted- he was the historic first. I also know Republican women in their 60s and 70s who had voted Republican from the year dot and did so in 2008.

424 >>you think Hilla the Hun will pull a Vince Foster ( or be Vince Fostered)? It's not necessary because Hillary brought 70+ people w/her to the State Dept - people who had followed her from job to job since she was FLOTUS. None of these people will rat her out; they owe their careers and likely current employment to her. The only way they get Hillary is via some low-level, non-Hillary affiliated State staffers, or if Obama/Val leak whatever they have on her.

Nope, just explaining the difference in attitude between Palin and Hillary for women voters. The conspicuous lack of women disagreeing and the amount of women agreeing gives me confidence in my analysis.

459 He lost it himself by being an unlikable, cantankerous, miserable jackwagon... And by refusing to take a stand against his opponent. It wasn't just "he's a jolly good fellow" lines, but also... When the housing crisis broke, literally over a weekend in which Democrats had been making fun of Palin for saying that a housing crisis was about to break, I really thought, well, that's his issue. He's been pushing for reform there for years. He's got it in the bag. And then when he said, I'm going to suspend my campaign and go back to congress to fix this, I figured he was going to go, push for real reform--that his opponent was going to oppose as he always had--and come back with a win. Instead, he did nothing and acquiesced in a bailout with no reform attached. I sometimes blame it on senatorial comradeship, having been in the senate for so long he was constitutionally unable to criticize a colleagues who had opposed reform for so long, by saying "I told you so, now let's fix your problem"; and sometimes I think he had just been running for President for so long he was the proverbial dog clamped down on a tailpipe. He had no idea what to do with that car now that he had it. tl;dr, yeah, he sucked.
