Hey, What Happened To Obama's Promise To Review Regulations And End Those That Were Hurting Business?
— Ace

One of the chief tics of Obama's speaking style is a technique I call lying.

He likes to say things that will please the public, and demonstrate to them he is looking for a middle path.

But after the speech is over, he does not follow through on the promise.

Well, I agree that we can’t afford wasteful spending, and I’ll work with you, with Congress, to root it out. And I agree that there are some rules and regulations that do put an unnecessary burden on businesses at a time when they can least afford it. (Applause.) That’s why I ordered a review of all government regulations. So far, we’ve identified over 500 reforms, which will save billions of dollars over the next few years. (Applause.) We should have no more regulation than the health, safety and security of the American people require. Every rule should meet that common-sense test. (Applause.)

Darrell Issa released a report blasting regulatory fever.

He should call up Obama. This Obama chap seems very, very interested indeed in cutting unnecessary regulations, and wasteful spending too!

Says he is in favor of Nuke power but he appoints a Markey lackey as head of the NRC.

Say he is in favor of removing regulations at the same time he increased the number being written tenfold with the EPA literally running amuck.

The sad thing is that the press has sat on the sidelines cheering him on the entire time.

29 "That’s why I ordered a review of all government regulations. So far, we’ve identified over 500 reforms, which will save billions of dollars over the next few years."

This quote shows exactly why he is such a SCoaMF. He actually wants to use regulation "reforms" (read; new regulations) to "save" money. Businesses aren't dying simply because the Feds piss money away that might be saved by scoamf's "reforms", it's because of burdensome taxes and the hoops the Feds make them jump through to operate. Having never had a real job, and much animosity towards those who do, scoamf doesn't understand this, he just knows saving money poll tests well right now, so maybe if he tells us regulation reforms save money, us rubes will finally be placated.
