Happy Hilloween
— andy

Over at his paying gig, AoSHQ Special Hillary Correspondent Andrew Stiles has assembled a collection of the most frightening images you'll ever lay eyes upon.

Hillary Clinton continues to reach out to the ruthlessly unimaginative members of the millennial generation whose support she’ll be counting on in 2016. Her campaign, for example, recently put out a list of “DIY Hillary Clinton costumes for Halloween” advising mature trick-or-treaters how to dress up like old photos of Hillary Clinton. It was a very spontaneous and fun thing that they did.

We thought it was a great idea, and decided to put together some Hillary Clinton costume ideas of our own.

Enjoy!

39 The incident recorded by the Alaska Earthquake Center’s seismic sensor, according to KTUU-TV, was actually the work of a bear, or at least that’s what scientists think. “We aren’t sure for certain it was a bear, but the data shows indicates it was something big moving out there before the data stopped coming in,” field engineer Scott Dalton told the news station. The shaking detected by the station lasted for eight minutes and then transmission stopped. Yeah right, a bear.

30 years ago, Hillary was not a repulsive old woman.  Not a movie star or fashion model, and she sometimes dressed funny, but she was not repulsive.  She was at times reminiscent of one of my friends ex-wife  (30 years ago).

The evil seeping out of her dark soul has made her what she is now.

It's frankly terrifying to think of her with the power of the Presidency.  As malevolent and nasty as Obama is,  he is frankly lazy, too.  He is not an industrious petty tyrant, as Hillary might be.

112 I am loving the Ted Cruz sound-bites that Rush is playing right now. Posted by: Pug Mahon, Former Blimp Wrangler at October 30, 2015 12:12 PM (RwwCT) _________ One of the many reasons I support Cruz. He would courteously listen, but manage to politely refute all of her talking points. The others would be hamstrung by 'picking on the old lady' and not come off well. Fiorina might manage some of it, but I really think that Cruz is the one to finally refute her vague assertions without looking like a bully. See various YouTube stuff with him taking on all comers.

118 If we're rewriting the Constitution, how about we take out that annoying "militia" portion of the 2A? Posted by: Chupacabra _____________________ At the end of the day, it really doesn't matter what the Constitution actually says if you have judges willing to be dictators. The idea that abortion or gay marriage is found in our Constitution is absurd, but the wrong judges will find it. Same with the death penalty. The Constitution even talks about the death penalty "life and limb" but that didn't stop a past Supreme Court for saying all death penalty cases violate the "cruel and unusual" clause

125 95 I'd replace the world "people" with "citizenry" just to be clear. ----------- Perhaps we should be more explicit. Here is my new 2nd A: "The right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. That means that there shall be no regulations by any governmental agency that in any way restricts the purchasing, owning, holding, carrying any form of arm, gun or similar weapon. That also applies to any form of bullet - no infringement. We mean it. By no one. Oh and by the way the citenzry have the right to form a militia in case of any insurrection or invasion and to act as a check on the state and federal government. If you need to understand, please study the American revolution. The militia was not part of a state army. The militia was not attacking a foreign invader. They were defending the people from the state. Just so we are clear. Guns are good. Militias are good. Let them be. No infringement whatsoever."

Posted by: Chupacabra at October 30, 2015 12:12 PM (F26eZ)

Since the 2nd Amendment exists largely as a deterrence to tyranny (and partly as a bulwark against foreign invasion), armed citizens become a militia when exercising that right.  It is important to draw the distinction between a constitutionally approved militia resisting tyranny and a lawless mob which happens to be armed.

Should be pointed out that the 2nd Amendment isn't concerned with hunting or sports shooting or even individual self-defense.

142 The Hillary costumes are a hoot, but he forgot to pad --- really pad --- his mid-section. There's a reason Hills wears suit coats that practically reach her knees - she's shaped like a weeble (though she clearly has dieted for the campaign).

144 She tried for the viral ambush question, but, no, there's no report that she has anything but contempt for the right. Posted by: weft cut-loop ________________ On that point, I really though Ben Carson had a great answer on how conservatives feel in the last debate when he said believing in traditional marriage does not mean you're a homophobe. It's crazy that just in the last 3 years or so that has become the new "rule" in society.

147

Coolio makes a key - and not exactly obscure - point above re constitutional language.

If courts are lawless, and are given free reign (well outside their intended ambit, for a reason), then it's all academic.  The SCOTUS has transformed itself, when it decides to, into an unaccountable legislature.

It is, when it deems, completely untethered from the constitution, common sense, history, the English language, and even its own artificial and generally lame "principles" of stare decisis, etc.  Now, comically really, it is not bound even by the most basic and uncontested guidelines of statutory construction, as in the last Roberts fiasco, his second "mark-up" of the O-care law.

All the scurrying around about Article 5 conventions, and things like balanced budget amendments - these seem to take place in a vacuum that disregards the last 30 years of developments in the US.  Lawlessness is a rot that destroys every part of the foundation, from all sides, and there is no known cure outside a return to standards by the electorate and civic culture themselves.

149 >>Ellen Paige forgot or didn't know Ted Cruz is, without hyperbole, one of the smartest people in the country. All Lefties believe conservatives are dumb. We have to be dumb to not agree with them, right? This is why they are always so shocked when someone like Cruz pwns them --- especially considering that in most cases, the situation is rigged to not allow a fair debate (see how Bill Maher cuts off anyone who makes a good conservative point on his show).

150 >>It's crazy that just in the last 3 years or so that has become the new "rule" in society. Yes, like this is a known fact. Also hate how being Christian now = anti-science flat-earther. 151 147. The Constitution really screwed up with the judicial branch of government, even the Founders saw it early on, it just took a while for it to rear its ugly head. It has no real check and balance once a person is in power.
