44 Traveling from Illinois to Penn yesterday and I find out my IPASS is kaput. Back of the device says it good until 2020. In Ill it's all high speed drive thru, so you don't know it it's not working. When I got to Indiana, the gate at the booth didn't go up and told me to take a ticket. I figured some glitch in their system. Went to pay on the other side of the state...still nope. I looked at the IPASS website and found the way you can tell if the transponder isn't working is if the gate doesn't go up. Now that's a brilliant system

49 "and found the way you can tell if the transponder isn't working is if the gate doesn't go up. Now that's a brilliant system " Just had the exact same problem with a Maryland EZPass. As all the tolls have license plate readers, and our vehicle plates are associated with the pass, when the EZPass fails to register, the LPR compares, says we are pass holders and simply deducts the toll from the account. So...no notice of device failure. Little VIA was coming across the Bay Bridge Tunnel and the gate arm failed to rise, like in your case. That's how we had found out that the device had shit the bed. Another possible give-away would be NOT seeing a "Paid" message flash up at a drive through toll without a rising arm at the booth.

Posted by: Village Idiot's Apprentice [/i] at June 10, 2018 01:27 AM (EyPfd)

He mentions that his key fob for his Cadillac isn't working too well and needs a battery, but he's not sure how to install a new one. No dealers in the area we are in. I'm looking thru the owners manual. In it they tell you that when the key fob doesn't work too well it needs a new battery....Nothing about the battery type, or how to install it. When we got to a bar later, I looked it up on youtube. Sure enough, somebody posted a video on how to change it

Not saying that these 15-17 year olds were doing all the shooting. Just that the murder rate dropped in a statistically significant manner at the time of their arrest.

Not to mention the HFCS folks, who like it too as it makes their product much cheaper to use than sucrose.

yeah, I don't care if they are agnostic Jews, atheist priests, hedonist Clintonians, Arab sheiks, Mexican drug lords, or Putin himself ... the trillions made by leveraged gamblers that controlled our government bailouts and monetary policy and shadow banking regime indeed act like a large mafia cartel, with many families.

The Bilderberg meeting, my invitation never arrived.  The CFR group is filled with those tied to our government, yet they meet privately and seem to write most of our intricate laws, when it is not the other special interests carving out their own legislation.  "Nation of laws" indeed.  Probably very few "constitutional" laws on the books when all the bureaucrats are leftists and stooges doing favors for their real masters.

This always gives me some hope ... Trump knew.  The battle is ongoing.

202 Looking for some techy type advice from the Horde for this lurker. The backside of our house looks out on a local school. We are in a residential area with a busy major road. They just installed one of those LED announcement boards in the front yard of the school. The first night, the board transitioned through multiple messages, shining through my kids window like fireworks, even with the shades down. Others mustve complained, because now the board stays on one still VERY bright message. My question is can LED boards of this type be 'dimmed'? Our elevated back porch is now bathed in bright annoying light. I'd like to know before I head to the BOE with my request.

276 Looking for some techy type advice from the Horde for this lurker. Posted by: RedDish on the table Generally yes. Your looking for roadside illumination standards, the signage should have a dynamic control on brightness based on a photocell or timer. Post the OEM nmae here

Something dimmer and orangish all over is less likely to affect your kiddo's sleep.

282 >>She was literally bragging about her relationship with the EU trade minister saying they send each other hug emojis and talk about girl power and other crap. These are the idiots who have been setting trade terms for us for years. I wouldn't let her negotiate lunch. Way set back women by looking like a 13 year old! Now she has to negotiate with adults, and not the US Chamber of Commerce sell-outs.

283 So Justin Trudeau slammed fair trade deals after Trrump had left and he didn't think that Trump might pay attention to what was said by the PM aftewards?!! left. Then Trump tweeted out his POV. Justin Trying to share up his flagging support in Canada but he looks like a whiny back sttabber. So America is just supposed to get continually kicked in the backside on trade?

286 This was written about the China negotiations, but it applies to the G7 stuff too: For all prior administrations the actual negotiations and agreements were willingly sub-contracted out to U.S. Chamber of Commerce delegations. This is how the multinationals took control of trade policy and eventually the U.S. economy. CoC President Tom Donohue must be apoplectic now that he is facing an administration actually writing the trade agreements. I cannot emphasize enough how much of a paradigm shift the President Trump trade approach is. When you understand what was taking place before, you can see why those interests are frothing-at-the-mouth angry about team Trump... https://tinyurl.com/yajf2ldj

Posted by: naturalfake at June 10, 2018 08:47 AM (9q7Dl) That's such a simple and rational compromise that I'm surprised nobody on this thread has suggAHAHAHAHA No really, though, even though it doesn't involve destruction of public property that's an excellent solution and puts the school board in the position of having to say "no, we'd really rather not choose a different message for our Very Important sign, because we're afraid that children might be able to get some rest" if they decide to fight it.

291 A U.S. Coast Guard vessel returned to port in Florida Friday with roughly seven tons of cocaine seized off cartel smugglers in the waters off the coasts of Mexico, Central and South America. Why not just sink any boat found. We spends millions each year building ROVs to practice shooting at. Shoot at the drug boats.

292 For all prior administrations the actual negotiations and agreements were willingly sub-contracted out to U.S. Chamber of Commerce delegations" Ah, that's how all such "high level" events are done. The grunt work is farmed out, while the upper level bits all sit 'round complimenting each other. President Trump (still not tired of typing that) has thrown a proverbial stink bomb into the room, and it will be quite interesting to see how this plays out... (and it's even more illuminating to see who's squealing the most...)

Something dimmer and orangish all over is less likely to affect your kiddo's sleep. Posted by: naturalfake Changing the color will generally require new led modules. Get your complaint filed before the warranty is up. Reference those illumination standards, your local gov guys should have referred to the state singage rules and those almost certainly draw on them. But, I'll go.on record, the 22 solution should be reserved.

298 Amazon has admitted that thousands of agency workers who make its Echo smart speakers and Kindles in China were hired and paid illegally.

The US giant issued a statement regretting "issues of concern" following an investigation by the Observer and the US-based China Labor Watch into the "unethical and illegal" working conditions at its supplier factory in Hengyang.

The investigation produced payslip evidence to show that workers can work up to 80 hours of overtime in a month, rather than the 36 hours normally permitted by law. However, companies can and do secure exemptions. Workers at the factory also have to ask for permission from supervisors to go to the toilet.

Li Qiang, executive director of China Labor Watch, wrote to Amazon's chief executive, Jeff Bezos, last month, setting out the findings. "This violates Chinese labour law. Foxconn uses a large number of dispatch workers and violates workers' interests via these dispatch companies. This practice, in and of itself, is unethical and illegal," he wrote. "I hope that you can compel your suppliers to improve their working situations and to manufacture Amazon products under ethical conditions."

304 Also: Trump was late for the first morning meeting. Apparently not much interested in Trudeau's agenda on gender equality and and "further intersectionality? Omgawd. All the real issues and he talks about this crap? That's the G-7 now? Did May do tea party manners?

305 If you want to hear something both funny and depressing listen to the comments that Chrystia Freeland, the airhead who is Trudeau's trade negotiator made to the National Journal before the G-7. I can't even. *facepalm* Can only hope our negogiator isn't in this same girls club.
