Cry On The Shoulder Of The Road -- Michael
— Ace

I'm askin' myself, how much country music has been featured at AOSHQ?

None. That's how much.

I'm going to fix that.

UPDATE: Yes, I've been hitting the Jack again.

UPDATE 2: BTW, Ace, we pwned your average Saturday traffic numbers.

1 Country music? You should be ashamed. I went to a great patriotic concert tonight--TED NUGENT. He said he could tell there were a lot of country fans in the audience--because he saw a lot of fat people.

Country--pshh! Learn to rock.

2 Mmmm, Martina = Crazy Delicious.
She's got some great videos.

3 I love Country Music, esp. the twangy stuff. Are you into Bluegrass at all?

4 Country music? UGH!!!

Gimme some Anthrax and Suicidial Tendencies and im a happy man. Deaf, but happy.

6 She's pretty cute, but the song has the -- my wife left me, they shot my dog, I drank till I puked and then I got hit by a train -- typical country music mush.

C'mon, Thanos.  That is the most accessible, like-able country song on earth.  You can't honestly say you didn't like that song.

I saw Martina sing that song at Six Flags Over Texas in San Antonio, when she was still not quite yet a really big star.

Normally, I don't like country music either.  But when you live in Texas, it kinda gets forced down your throat.

8 What are the 4 things you need to make a good country song?

9 What are the 4 things you need to make a good country song?

Momma

10 And who said it? Album too ...

Posted by: John at July 29, 2006 08:12 PM (30uPm)

11 Nice lookin girl. Song kinda drags. Country is so often damn depressing. I need my 70s and 80s hard rock and metal.

14 MArtina is ToO HoT!

Ya got anything from Sara Evans? Specifically is Perfect out there somewhere? Yum!

15 A poor excuse for country music. God will cut you down.

16 Paul in Iowa:

Couldn't find a decent version of "Perfect" (just a really crappy amateur live tape).

But try this.

17 Michael, pace yourself.

Country music isn't the only thing we shove down your throat.

18 The first time EVER I see direct video stream on the AoSHQ, and it's COUNTRY MUSIC? Michael put you up to it, didn't he?

And Jack? How is it that Ace is able to AFFORD JACK? Michael sent you a case so you'd be sloppy drunk enough to put that thing up there. Admit it!

19 It's early in Cali and I should've read down further in the post. *wiping forehead* Michael's using his own stach of Jack and Ace STILL hasn't figured out how to video stream.

sorry for the previous comment...

20 I'm a ska girl myself, but don't be surprised if I pull out a little Dwarves or Leonard Cohen just to mix things up.

Hey hey, there's more to Country than THAT.
Check out the poetry of Country Music.

No dyin' dogs or drinkin', just some insightful thoughts on the differences between Men and Wimmin.

22 Q: What do you get when you play a Country record backwards?

A: You get your wife back,
you get your job back,
you get out of prison,
and your mama doesn't get hit by a train.

23 Good lookin' woman who can sing well, excellent background vocalists, world class studio musicians all around, tracking, mixing and mastering engineers of the highest caliber, a song that tells a story of simplicity that all humans should be able to identify with, and a '57 Chevy.

Sweet.

27 Good to see that im not the only S.T. fan here, pajama mama. Instutuinalized is a good one from there early days though my favorite S.T. song at the moment is between "Got Mutation" and "Get Whacked". Love em.

And this at 40 and im still a bit of a metal head. Ah, good times, good times!

28 We just went and saw Guttermouth in January. I was 8 months pregnant and terrified. Luckily we stayed back stage most of the time. I'd forgotten how flippin' scary the pit is.

And Townes Van Zandt.

32 That song is crap. Try Shooter Jennings.

34 Was this the song that RG posted on at IB?

No, Tom. At IB he was posting about another song, and trying to act like he's some sensitive caring male in the process. I'm thinking he's in trouble with Mrs. Geezer and hasn't got laid in awhile.
