Congressman Pete Stark (D-CA): "Our Borders are Quite Secure
— Dave in Texas

Ever seen a Congressman bored with his constituents?

Call me crazy here, but I don't think Pete is all that concerned about border security (or his re-election bid, which is safe).

But for the record I'll note that while condescending and arrogant, he didn't threaten to throw the Minuteman out the window.

When you shut up and learn something, he might be willing to talk to you.

No, Truman. Gerrymandering is when you "creatively" draw the boundaries of a voting district. The expression you want is "tar and feathers". :-D

It doesn't matter the murders and the gangs. It doesn't make any difference to you. You want amnesty and you want as many as you can allow through prior to it.

We also get that the president agrees.

We have been thrown to the fucking wolves.

Some ace readers in other states might get it, a little, but by God, the border staes are being skull fucked and there is no help in sight.

24 OK.  Serious question.

When, for whatever reason, the change we're all hoping for doesn't work out this fall and in '12, then what??

We all know that the people who WOULD go thru the government like an armored Cat dozer thru St. Pancake, and get rid of all the bullshit that is killing this country, be it laws, regs, agencies, whatthefuckever, say and do what needs to be said and done and fuck to death those who don't like it, are not insane enough to want to put themselves and their families thru the process of it all.

What happens when we wind up with more of the same corruptible assholes always find ourselves stuck with, what do we do then??

What does it take to break the cycle of doing the same retarded shit and expecting a different result??

And I'm talking about fucking scumbag politicians of all stripes.

25 Old Editorial (2003) from the San Fran Chronicle:

Only a politician who assumes he has a job for life could behave so badly on a semi-regular basis by spewing personalized invective that might get him punched in certain East Bay taverns. Would-be challengers sometimes sense a whiff of opportunity, but the reality of taking on a 16-term Democrat in solidly liberal terrain is nothing short of daunting.

Surely there must be someone along the shoreline between Alameda and Fremont who could represent the good citizens of the district with class and dignity. It's not the case now.

That's how horrible Stark is, and this was written 7 years ago.

O/T, from end of May 2010: Hamas leader says American envoys making contact, but not openly

The United States is sending a succession of envoys to engage with Hamas but lacks the bravery to talk to the Islamist movement openly, its leader, Khaled Meshal, said in an interview with the Guardian.

Meshal praised President Dmitry Medvedev of Russia for meeting him in Damascus and the Syrian president, Bashar al-Assad, for hosting the discussion 10 days ago. He told Medvedev that the US was also talking to him. "I thanked him for that meeting and told him the Americans contact us, but are not brave enough to do so openly," said Meshal. "I am confident that in the very near future, everyone will realise that they will have to deal with Hamas."

The claim that the US is engaging with a group it lists as a terrorist organisation will upset the Palestinian president, Mahmoud Abbas, whose security forces have locked up and allegedly tortured leading Hamas members in the West Bank..

Every two years, we elect 535 people from around the country to send them to DC.  535 of the most ambitious political talent we can find.  After we send them to DC, they all step inside the Capitol where they take their oath of office.  After that, all the doors and windows are barred to prevent anyone from exiting and then the whole building is set on fire.

Let it serve as a lesson.

It is becoming the Wild West again, and this is why.

Illegals, by definition, are law breakers from the start. Breaking other laws once they are here is nothing to them.

The communities where the population tipping point has passed are hellholes. Think Tijuana. Any other border states morons will tell you the same stories and that what I say is true.

Our government will not protect or help us.

Arizona passed laws (confirming pre-existing law), and our government and the mexican government are doing their best to overturn them.

What should we do?

Not refreshing the Tree of Liberty seems to be working pretty well so far.  We should stick with that.  Becoming even more subservient might help.

Don't mean to be glib, but I don't really see things ever changing.  Leviathan is too big, too well established, and too well supported.  The rank and file just get to sit there and take it, like always.  Eventually, this system too will fail, and it will get replaced by something that does pretty much the same thing.  Government exists solely to coerce.

98%+ Hispanic with the 8th highest population density of any city on the U.S. outside of New York with an average of 7 people per household. That's an average, so half the households have more than 8 people per household.

He's done a hell of a lot more damage to America than Hitler, Stalin, Tojo, Mussolini, Ho Chi Minh, Fidel Castro, and a whole lot of other world leaders put together.  Pretty impressive, actually.

Of course being from a sanctuary city, he has no problems with illegals.

It's bad. Some places are worse than others.

Correct me other morons, if you want to, or speak up loudly.

There are no go zones in MOST cities here, not just in National Parks where they have been officially declared.

We know there will be no changes, and being good citizens, are not sure of what to do next.

Dear RNC:

Spend every dime you have promoting this video. For every one spent, two will come back.

Ernest Hemingway couldn't make this shit up. Stark is a huge gaping asshole, but he's not very good at it. I can appreciate a talented huge gaping asshole, say Christopher Hitchens, but mediocre gaping assholes--well--run the country. Shame on us.

You are correct. People that do not live out-here are clueless as to how bad things are. The cost of maintaining public serves for illegals and their children is what pushed California over the edge. If you back those expenses out of the State budget, California would be in the black.

Starkly racist! AS IF students at the Univ./Puerto Rico don't get a good education.  One's education, regardless of school, depends upon one's reading, analysis, and writing. Study Obama's stupidity, and Hillary's as well to note how much money was squandered attempting to educate them through the Ivy League.

Intellectually dishonest. AS IF Keynes is the only credible school of economics, though it lacks credibility. The more debt for nations, the wealthier; and interest rates don't matter, because nations exist in an alternative universe.

114 Rep. Pete Stark, CA/CD 13,is not a congressman who represents his constituents. He has been in the district for so long, he feels like he owns it. His Republican opponent, Forrest Baker, is not any better than Mr. Stark. Mr. Baker is a proponent of nationalizing the banks and socializing health care. I heard him say these exact words to a community group that I had attended. I would refer to Mr. Baker as a socialist. We do however have a candidate that I can support and who is a conservative. His name is Chris Pareja. Chris is an independent, who is running for congress in the 13th Congressional District of California. Yes, Pete Stark's district. I have come to know Chris over the past several months and I believe he would be a congressman that would live up to his  commitment to represent the people of district 13. I know Chris to be a good family man and someone with integrity and moral values. Chris is very much the conservative candidate that district 13 is looking for. Chris has gotten a lot of flack for running as an independent but he chose to do so because he can see the disillusionment of the people towards the Republican party. He wanted to set himself apart from the mistrust people have for what is supposed to be a party that represented the conservatives. Chris Pareja, conservative for congress in district 13 has my support and my vote. You can find out more about Chris Pareja on my website at http://www.tricitypatriotsca13.ning.com/
