So now when I boycott or root against the 49ers , I no longer have to feel sorry for the team. That simplifies things.

13 Yea, Alabama! Drown 'em Tide! Every 'Bama man's behind you, Hit your stride. Go teach the Bulldogs to behave, Send the Yellow Jackets to a watery grave. And if a man starts to weaken, That's a shame! For Bama's pluck and grit have Writ her name in Crimson flame. Fight on, fight on, fight on men! Remember the Rose Bowl, we'll win then. Go, roll to victory, Hit your stride, You're Dixie's football pride, Crimson Tide, Roll Tide, Roll Tide!!

21 Inspirational and courageous play on a 2-13 team? What an honor!

You know who is courageous? Anybody playing QB for the Browns. We average more concussions per game than we do touchdowns.

36 Serious question here, folks: Do, say, Auburn and LSU fans root for Alabama when they are playing non-SEC teams for championships? Or is the intra-conference rivalry so great that they root for ANY opponent of Alabama?

Posted by: Abby at December 31, 2016 02:38 PM (HBU7W) Refs missed an offsides call on Michigan's last offensive play that FSU picked off. So with like 15 seconds left the game was over except for the kneeldown. Then Harbaugh uses his two time outs during the kneeldowns to force them to do it 3 times rather than just end the game. Petty stupid bullshit.

60 Alabama is not all that this year. I'm annoyed by all the dick sucking that ESPN does. Top 5? Yeah sure. #1 all year, yeah no. Great run defense, average secondary, average receivers, Freshman QB, new line and good RBs (duh). Can they win it all? Of course. But they could lose today or next week easy.

74 As a third generation OSU grad, I still couldn't root for M to win. Glad they lost, but I didn't watch the game. Harbaugh was an ahole again? Posted by: Abby at December 31, 2016 02:38 PM (HBU7W) No, he gave that duty last night to Jabrill Peppers. Peppers didn't play last night because, the story goes, sometime between practice yesterday and showing up for the game, he pulled a hamstring. He went out and" warmed up" with the team, grabbing the back of his leg occasionally, and forgetting which one it was. During the game, he wasn't on the sideline. He was MIA for a while, then he showed up in the coach's box , constantly texting on his phone, oblivious to the game. When asked after the game why he wasn't on the sideline, cheering on his team, coaching and collaborating as star players normally do, he became choked up and said that Harbaugh told him he was too emotional over not being able to play and that he was a distraction and to go to the coach's box. My ass. He has been the bizarre darling of ESPN , who have talked about the 5th place Heisman finisher as if there has never been a player like him and we won't see one like him again. Last night, the two color commentators for the game mentioned Peppers every minute or two, sadly describing what could have been had he been on the play that just took place. They never shut up about him, ignoring the players who were actually playing. Jake Butt, a likely first round draft choice, did play last night and ended up with either a MCL or ACL injury. He not only had the courage and consideration of his teammates to risk his NFL draft status by playing last night, but even when he was injured, he returned to the sidelines and continued to cheer and provide input to the other players. I know as an OSU alum, I'm quite biased, but I am so tired of the Jabrill Peppers worship from the media and Michigan fans. All for a player who has had off field issues, including a letter posted all over campus from a woman warning other women that she contracted an STD from Peppers, to the punch he threw at an OSU fan after the U/M -OSU game that went unpunished, to the fact that the guy has played virtually every position on Mich. team without becoming proficient at any. He has , as of today, NEVER played in a bowl game for Michigan. His first ever pick in his entire career as in the OSU game. Sorry for the rant, but I can only hope that ass goes into the draft, ends up with someone taking him in the 6th round so I don't have to listen to another year of Peppers the Invincible.

105 NOT Tide.

106 Nice interception!

108 Huskies Coog it.

109 17-7 Alabama at the turn

Posted by: Grump928(C) Possibly drunker than you at December 31, 2016 11:36 AM (LTHVh)

110 I'll root for Alabama for the rest of the game if you'll root for OSU, Grump. I'd like a matchup with the Tide.

Posted by: April at December 31, 2016 11:46 AM (e8PP1)

111 I'll root for Alabama for the rest of the game if you'll root for OSU, Grump. I'm torn on that. LittleBro928 is a Clemson alumn. But first things first, we have to get past Washington now and with Lane Fucking Kiffin, victory is not assured.

112 Ohio State will continue what Northwestern started against Pitt. Go Bucks!

Posted by: WildBill at December 31, 2016 11:57 AM (bqR+I)

113 Yeah, our offensive coordinator is our bane as well. Plus, I just don't think JT Barrett is all that. Don't understand the slobbering over him.

Posted by: April at December 31, 2016 11:59 AM (e8PP1)

Posted by: buzzion at December 31, 2016 12:04 PM (cAnNx)

115 buzzion, haha! Right. But he can't complete a pass, so what choice does he have?

Posted by: April at December 31, 2016 12:05 PM (e8PP1)

116 Can't blame that squandered chance on Kiffin. Stupid penalties.

118 Okay, let's just run whichever A gap that big defensive lineman isn't in.

119 These are the worst production values. Who the hell wants to see a coach walking back and forth. Is there a chance one of them will keel over?

Posted by: Headless Body of Agnew at December 31, 2016 12:13 PM (ocw+t)

120 Isn't Washington's coach the old Boise State coach? (Boise must be one of the 57 states I haven't learned about out here in the sticks.)

Posted by: Subterranean JT at December 31, 2016 12:15 PM (qG0hz)

121 Just horrible on offense this half.

Posted by: Grump928(C) types with one eye and one finger at December 31, 2016 12:21 PM (LTHVh)

122 I have to keep reminding myself that Hurts is just a freshman but he's driving me crazy with mistakes.

Posted by: Grump928(C) types with one eye and one finger at December 31, 2016 12:22 PM (LTHVh)

123 I would really like to see Alabama bring back the wishbone next year. We're going to have the team to do it.

Posted by: Grump928(C) types with one eye and one finger at December 31, 2016 12:24 PM (LTHVh)

124 The first part of any play is SNAP THE BALL. When Bama learns that, look out.

Posted by: Subterranean JT at December 31, 2016 12:24 PM (qG0hz)

125 Punting is Washington's best offensive play right now. It doesn't appear that we're going to do anything but go backwards with the ball.

Posted by: Grump928(C) types with one eye and one finger at December 31, 2016 12:27 PM (LTHVh)

126 Yup. Cooged it again Washington.

Posted by: Headless Body of Agnew at December 31, 2016 12:29 PM (ocw+t)

127 For a second, I thought Washington's own player "roughed" the kicker.

Posted by: Rex B at December 31, 2016 12:30 PM (h020I)

128 What a piss poor series!

Posted by: Subterranean JT at December 31, 2016 12:32 PM (qG0hz)

129 Nice D by Washington. Too bad the Offense is bringing the suck. this might turn into a game.

Posted by: naturalfake at December 31, 2016 12:33 PM (9q7Dl)

130 Alabama defense is a good as advertised but Washington defense ain't no joke either. A shame these two aren't playing the other two this week.

131 Go Tigers!

Posted by: Eromero at December 31, 2016 12:36 PM (zLDYs)

132 On the plus side, we don't have many yards to lose this possession.

Posted by: Grump928(C) types with one eye and one finger at December 31, 2016 12:42 PM (LTHVh)

133 What? No flag? I'm amazed.

Posted by: Grump928(C) types with one eye and one finger at December 31, 2016 12:44 PM (LTHVh)

135 OK!

Posted by: Subterranean JT at December 31, 2016 12:48 PM (qG0hz)

136 Back breaker. When does the other game start, 7:00? Time to eat.

Posted by: Subterranean JT at December 31, 2016 12:49 PM (qG0hz)

137 Peach bowl... Who eats peaches anymore? If there were a Hop Bowl [Yakima, WA is the US capital for those things] UW would have the home field advantage.

Posted by: Rex B at December 31, 2016 12:53 PM (h020I)

138 This offense ain't gonna cut it against either OSU or Clemson.

Posted by: Grump928(C) types with one eye and one finger at December 31, 2016 01:01 PM (LTHVh)

139 Cooged it!

143 Hey Huskies! Hey Huskies! Hey Huskies!
We just beat the hell out of you!
Rammer Jammer, Yellowhammer, give 'em hell, Alabama!

144 Orange Trumpesque hair on Saban. Winning!

Posted by: Rex B at December 31, 2016 01:30 PM (h020I)

145 You're just not going to run on this Defense.  The only big runs against Alabama have all been when we stunted away from the play.  Nobody has been able to muscle those big guys off the line in a straight up power on power all year.

Posted by: Grump928(C) types with one eye and one finger at December 31, 2016 01:32 PM (LTHVh)

146 Too big, too strong and too fast.

Posted by: Grump928(C) types with one eye and one finger at December 31, 2016 01:33 PM (LTHVh)

147 Yes, Grump. Very talented bunch. The young Scarborough reminded me of another strong North/South runner in Corey Dillon. UW running back from about 25 years back. Good game. Cheers and Happy New Year!

148 Dear sweet Jesus. We have the worst kicker in the league. @@

149 I am *really* sick of these ASPCA (ASPAC? lol) commercials showing the abused dogs with "Silent Night" playing in the background.

I do not appreciate the blatant play on my emotions in an effort to separate me from my money.
