Al Gore III Pleads Guilty To Pot, Pill Possession
— Ace

Of course he can avoid all jailtime if he completes a stint in rehab.

I don't think this is a very important story -- wow, prosecutors and judge roll over for Al Gore's son, film at 11 -- but DB points out something interesting: Al Gore III's lawyer is Allen Stokke.

Who is Allison Stokke's dad.

1 Al III doesn't have what it takes to tap that.

2 After Lindsay Lohan got busted last week, the of course had Danny Bonaduce (sp?) on the radio as an expert.  He said the success rate of rehab was somewhere around 8%.  I didn't catch how soon after rehab most people start using again.

He also said that once he went drinking on the way home from being released from rehab.

3 They rolled over by not charging him with a dui with priors and speeding which carries mandatory jail time.  Really, the fix was in.

4 Oh yeah, I forgot.

Allison Stokke--Bang it like a screen door in a hurricane.

I'll bet Stokke's mom is so hot she melts steel toilet seats.

Google it!

8 This isn't special treatment. And that is the problem. The penalties for this sort of behavior and for repetitions are far too lenient.

Zipping around in vehicles while stoned is the equivalent of randomly shooting a gun into the air. You probably won't hit anyone by doing either.

One needs to have a lawyer who knows all the escape methods and can use them. That is the advantage of the wealthy and famous.

That doesn't mean the advantages work every time but it is the way to bet.

9 Hey! There was no 'fix'. I just bought enough drug credits from my own company--Crack Ho Offsets--to make it all even out in the end.

10 Can you imagine what it would be like to be in high school with Allison Stokes? To see the world's hottest girl walking down the corridor in front of you, and knowing to the marrow of your bones that you have about as good a chance of sitting in the back seat of your dad's Chevy with her as you have of flying to Mars. As if adolescence were hard enough ...

12 Of course Mini-Goron will get a pass.

If it were me or thee, we'd still be in the fucking hole looking at mandatory time on drug charges, with a lifetime record to fuck us up for the rest of our days.

This shit-nugget probably didn't even see a pair of handcuffs, much less a cell, and won't either.

And Justice For All, my lily white ass...

Justice is what you can afford and who you know.

I'll bet Stokke's mom is so hot she melts steel toilet seats.

Um, it depends on what the meaning of "hot" is.

Same smile, not much else.

God is such a fickle beast when it comes to little things like genetics.

Good thing I have nothing to worry about.

15 Sorry doods, the plea deal is not all that unusual, and harsher than what you would get here in Ohio.
Make your choice - you want to house these guys and make them unemployable the rest of their lives, or do you want them off drugs? The guy has to behave for a year and a half - if he doesn't he eats a felony.
Don't hate the kid because of his parents - it's akin to demanding the Bush kiddies get drafted.
Besides, you know when he was growing up he missed all the good party music because of Mommy's PMRC. He's just catching up.
