ABCNew Now Censoring Conservative Comments on Political Punch Blog
— Ace

The post read only that the Democrats' fingerprints were all over this crisis, and linked to Gateway Pundit.

But that conflicted with The Narrative. Which is now, officially, hate speech.

2 You Americans owe Canada a debt of gratitude you can never repay!

Your country can't provide health care to all its citizens. It fucks up it's own financial markets and threatens to turn the world on its ass. In fact, you did the same in the Great Depression where not only was there a normal problem with the business cycle, you passed protectionist trade laws that halted trade around the word, deepening the Depression, and also doubling your own unemployment.

We're in the middle of electing a conservative government again as our flailing leftist parties battle for second place. You are about to put in power a leftist radical with domestic terrorist friends (domestic: worst kind when you think about it) who has megalomaniac narcissistic tendencies and likes to use prosecutors and police to intimidate his political opponents. You country and even your President are letting yourselves be sucked into a manufactured crisis created by the Dems in congress and the corrupt Marxist in the Treasury. Your probable new President wants to create a "civillian" national security beaurocracy with manpower, budget, and equipment equal to the Pentagon.

ABC and the majority of your media are more corrupt than ever, and our national broadcaster very accurately announced its problem with bias in all areas of operation and reporting and intends to add more conservative voices in and out of the actual newsrooms.

In short, you're screwed and my country's rocking.

And with that, I'm outta here.

3 Been there, done that.  I posted the link to Palin's church's online sermons, with a Go listen for yourself, after someone commented a bunch of nonsense about her religious beliefs.  5 minutes later, gone, with the original ranting comment still in place.

9 It's seriously bad. The MSM is willing to give up its own autonomy to elect The One. The Democrats are the reason the credit market got out of hand when they prevented the Republicans from reforming it years ago. The architects of this crisis - Dodd, Franks, Waters, Obama's merry men, are permitted to preen and strut before the cameras and the MSM permits it. Our only hope is that the truth is getting out via the net, radio and FOX.

I commented on this yesterday. It got ignored. It's not worth fighting through the filter to pretty this up again, so here's the dump and update.

I'm having to rip out links one by one until I get this down to where it will get past the posting filter.

Last Year in the post "Unbelievable: ABCNews Reporter Actually Credits Rush Auction Charity Bonanza TO THE DEMOCRATS", some of us documented ABC altering and deleting comments on its website.
http://minx.cc/?post=244033

Conferate Yankee noticed it then as well.

"Update: ABC is also censoring comments on the blog (mine, among others) for content that is anything other than profane, simply rewriting or deleting comments they do not like on apparent whims. The former gatekeepers do not like to be told that they are wrong."

Gateway Pundit reports ABC is up to its old tricks once again. http://tinyurl.com/4kt7ve

Update: http://tinyurl.com/3rawv2

Update to my #39. Brutally Honest was also rebuffed by ABC's gatekeepers. Jake Tapper, whose blog it is at ABC, comments at BH

"Am sorry to read this...Obviously I have nothing to do with the monitoring of the comments section, but I've forwarded your blog posting to the bosses at abcnews.com. Will let you know what I hear... Jake

Oooooh stuff it up your trembling, anticipatory asshole.

For the last 30 years Canada has been like a Banana Republic with snow. As corrupt as the US government is, it cannot hold a candle to North Venezuela Canada under Chretien and Martin.

You whine about how we're stealing your health care because we buy aspirin but you keep hopping the border in order to get anything more serious then a hangnail treated lest you fuckin die from it.

In keeping with Canadian laws I shall translate this post into a series of grunts and snorts more familiar to the ears of the cheese eating surrender snow-monkey.

30 I've had my comments both deleted and edited at Political Punch.
Usually I can't figure out why exactly they got deleted, but definitely if you disagree with Jake they'll deleted them.
Once he completely misread Hitchen's review of Doug Feith's book, and wrote that Feith blamed Bush for all kinds of stuff.
ABC kept deleting the corrections from me and several others (dicentra and SarahW, I think) and didn't correct the egregiously wrong blog post.

I still like PP, but they need to state their comments policy. Does Jake even read the comments, do you think?

Posted by: MayBee at September 30, 2008 01:15 PM (lAE3K)

31 I suppose that ABC is trying to make it seem like Telemprompter Jesus is ready to win in a landslide. However, you have to ask yourself: does the thinking voter just vote for whoever everyone else votes for? I like to think that some people still have the ability to reason independently, and that ABC's attempt at groupthink (or in this case, groupcomment) will accomplish nothing, except make the Democrats feel good about themselves. Also... according to the media, we should now be re-electing President Kerry.

Every year you Canucks have about 250k immigrants to your great country every year.  We have almost 40 million.  And that's not counting the ones that come here illegally.  So you probably should just shut your filthy pie-hole, because your wanna-be American country ain't all that.

43 Apparent SOP for the ABC online presence.

About a year ago, ABC's "Political Radar" news/blog posted Z. Byron Wolf's "Bidding Over $2M for Dems Anti-Rush Letter" [October 19, 2007] which was supposed to report on Rush Limbaugh's support of the troops and Reid's dishonest comments about Rush. The public called them out on the dishonest reportage that defended Reid's dishonesty and kept the smear against Rush. Conseqently, either Wolf, an editor, or the webmaster returned every few hours (over a period of days) to a) change the story without noting the changes, b) edit posts that disagreed with the Left position, and c) completely deleted others that critiqued Wolf's "facts" and Reid.

It was quite a spectacle.

I don't know if the "Political Radar" is now known as the "Political Punch" or if they each exist simultaneously since I quit visiting ABC when I noticed its dishonesty, but it would seem their publishing guidelines have not changed or they remain universal... namely, "Screw the conservatives."

52 #2, Christoph, I'll tell you what a Canadian officer told me on Commonwealth Day in Korea in '00 after we'd been drinking a while. "Canada will be so much better off when we stop pretending we're a real country and all apply for American statehood."

To paraphrase another retired infantry colonel friend of mine, "America is Canada's last line of defense. They're our first in some ways." That may put y'all in an uncomfortable position some day.

Posted by: SGT Dan at September 30, 2008 04:25 PM (4hwtR)

53

Yes, SGT Dan, but that would end up screwing America.

Maybe, maybe take in Alberta if leftist central Canada ever screws them badly enough to push the Alberta separatists into leaving Confederation (probably over oil revenues with the Feds or attacking oil production/revenues out of 'green' concerns). But accepting any place else in Canada into U.S. statehood would just give the Dems another liberal voting block--ironically, the same size as the U.S. black population.

And I don't know what Cristoph was trying to do other than ironically remarking over our conservatives leading in polls for our Oct. 14 election, while the U.S. seems to be heading in the other direction in a sort of "world turned upside down" way. (And not succeeding, from the comments here.)

Yes, again, SGT Dan. But we've always known that and so allowed the DEW Line to be built; joined in creating NORAD; and are going along with Missile Defence. Luckily our major population centres are along the U.S. border, so their defence would be important to the States, too, even if we weren't allies on our Northern front facing that unimportant country that doesn't border anywhere important in the U.S. or a place with an acceptable Governor, at least, the Soviet Union Russia.

Let's face it.  The MSM is small group of large corporations that are totally aligned with the slavery party.  We can fight back legally, but it will take some effort.

We need multi-million people to choose one advertiser at a time and boycott them into submission.  All this whining does not matter if no one ever fights back.

It's the height of hypocrisy to erase reader comments critical of John McCain, on the one hand, which has been going on for weeks now, and on the other hand criticize ABC News for disappearing posts critical of Obama. There's very little difference between what this blog is becoming the lower John McCain falls in the polls, to what DailyKos is every day.

Because if the Dems get their way we will have the same crappy nationalized health care that Canada does, and then where are all the Canadians going to go to get the needed tests and treatments that they would have to sit on a waiting list for months and years to get. Driving across the border is cheaper then flying to India.

BTW-The only reason why your "country is rocking" is because it is stripping itself down to the bare rock for China. You seen satellite pics of the forests in BC and Alberta lately? At least they are nice enough to leave trees along the road to fake out all of the tourists....
