— Ace And more extensive, too, with citations.
I know of this list because... well, see the Authoritative Scholarly Citation given for Lara Flynn Boyle.
Back when I used to keep track of such things, I would get one or two hits from this list a day.
Caution... See-Dub notes that the evidence for a lot of these people's conservative credentials is often pretty damn thin. Pretty much if you've ever said something nice about Bush, even if just to get money out of him for Africa, you're on the list as a "Rightie." (As Bob Geldof is.)
And the links providing the evidence are so old that most are broken so you can't check.
Still... it's what we've got at the moment.
Vince Vaughan? Yes! The Contact Music link is broken, so there's no proof of this, but I always kind of suspected. He always plays himself, a sort of charmingly arrogant dickhead, and that to me says "Republcian" in all-caps, bolded.
Jon Favreau is also listed, again with a broken link for a citation, which surprises and disappoints me, because he comes of as a bit of a liberal tool on his Dinner For Five show.
And for leaving a Celebrity Poker Challenge episode just because he got eliminated early and was too much of a big-shot to hang out in the Loser's Lounge.
(Yeah, he's talented; just saying-- tool. And a big bad-loser crybaby.)

I think a lot of these are wishful thinking or extrapolating from pretty thin evidence.

From then on, I figured he was conservative or libertarian.

It's the "and not necessarily by default" thing that gives it kick. You could understand if he were voting for Bush "by default" because he was up in arms (as many shock-rockers are) about Gore's wife's PMRC stuff, but the "not necessarily by default" indicates he was leaning towards Bush for positive, not negative, reasons.

Similarly, the evidence for Jennifer Love Hewitt is that she visited wounded veterans in a hospital - once.
What I really love about this site is that it clearly implies that liberal celebrities should keep their mouths shut, then proudly displays any conservative leaning statement by a Joyce DeWitt (actually no evidence given, but fuck, who'd lie about Joyce DeWitt?) or a bunch of non-american celebrities like Gary Oldman, Steve "crocodile hunter" Irwin, or Greg Norman.
You do have Rick Flair and the Ultimate Warrior though.

1.Our posters have the nerve to eat food when children are starving in Africa
2. We complain about people burning the flag and asking our soldiers to shoot their officers at the same time that we pretend we support freedom of speech.
3. We allow turds like Seattle to post their crap.

The same labelling issue comes up with bloggers all the time. If you're to the right of freaking Kos, you're 'conservative' by many accounts, but someone like Roger Simon is a pretty classical liberal.

Come to think of it, I'm ready to say a great many derogatory things about Bush myself right about now.

On and:
Reason number 6,783 to hate the U.N., now that there are going to be rallies about darfur they cut the food aid budget in half. A clever way for unelected tools to try and add to their budget (still better then selling little girls, but come on jerkoffs)

my apologies. by "this site" I meant the celebrity site. Though you comments are greatly appreciated.
I suppose I have accused all conservatives of doing this in the past. After all, you all did elect actors as president of the NRA, governor of California (twice) and President of the United States. You also invited Ron "Timecop" Silver to speak at your most recent national convention, and you give credence to the manic ravings of Ted Nugent. Then some of you have the gall to tell Alec Baldwin to shut up because he is "just a celebrity."
You do do that. And I have commented on it in the past.
But I really wasn't doing that here. I was truly just making fun of this site (there I did it again - THAT site) and how pathetic some of their celebrities are. And how weak their evidence is. And how offensive it is that a celebrity is deemed conservative because they visited wounded veterans in a hospital. I mean Al Franken goes on USO tours.
Anyway Roc. No hard feelings. I still consider you as a friend. You are kind, and smart, and funny. And I think if we didn't have these political differences we could be lovers. That is, if I wasn't married, and if you were an attractive woman who wasn't intimidated by my enormous cock.
Hope this clears up the confusion.
Cheers and have a great weekend.
