But really, do you want the USofA associated with a group of StormTroopers? I mean it's creepy. Not only that but they're fucking incompetent unless they're shooting Jedi in the back. Further, they're clones for God's sake, isn't the right against cloning?
OTOH, the Peace Fairy StormTrooper does cause greater cognitive dissonance than big belt buckle trooper.

Spaarti cloning cylinders can't make perfect digital copies after all.
And I'm a big frigging dork.

What year of Gen Con is that? I didn't see them there last year and I'm 95% sure that's the Indianapolis Convention Center those two are in.

Continuing von Kreedon's idea, I'm certain the second Stormtrooper is proof enough for Democratic Underground that Chimpy McHitler's Evil Empire is about to supplant democracy in the US.

That's funny, I had a similar thought. It was along the lines of what happened in that movie Multiplicity. Every time you copy something you get a copy of lesser quality than the original. The Stormtroopers are nth generation iterations of the original guys--copies of copies. Some end of taller or skinnier than others.

Plus, there were Stormtroopers in attendance at Gen Con - which would explain my faux pas.

The first snippet of conversation I heard was (I shit you not): I'm now a strict vegan, because I felt being an ovo-lacto vegan was a bit too exploitive.
I thought this airhead was making a joke until the others there began to nod knowingly. I immediately went to the host and made my apologies about not feeling well and that I needed to leave.
End test.
